Today’s Gospel invites us into the mystery of the Holy Trinity, and into the depth of God’s love.

Love that sent His Son. Love revealed in the resurrection. Love lived out in compassion and service.

At CMMB, this love guides our mission each day. It’s present in a community health worker visiting remote families, in a nurse comforting a mother and child, and in partnerships that bring healing to communities often left behind.

The Trinity reminds us: love reaches outward. And so do we.

Before Atim could hold her baby skin-to-skin, lifesaving care helped the newborn survive.

At St. Theresa Mission Hospital in South Sudan, neonatal incubators and critical medical equipment provided by CMMB gave Atim’s baby the necessary care after an emergency C-section, allowing mother and child to finally be together.

Sometimes, healing begins in an incubator and continues in a mother’s arms.

Recently, Mary Beth Powers, our CEO, joined the CMMB Kenya team at Kitui County Referral Hospital for the opening of a new Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) Unit — a dedicated space bringing hope to premature and low‑birth‑weight newborns.

KMC offers what fragile babies need most: warmth, connection, and a real fighting chance.

This milestone reflects the strong partnership between CMMB and the County Government of Kitui, working together to ensure mothers and babies receive the care they deserve.

This photo between Venite and her baby almost didn’t happen.

During a routine home visit in Haiti, a CMMB-supported community health worker noticed dangerous swelling during Venite’s pregnancy and quickly helped her get the emergency care she needed.

After months in the hospital, mother and daughter are finally home together.

“Without the intervention of the community health worker, I would not have experienced such a positive outcome.”

Behind moments like this are skilled community health workers whose training, compassion, and quick action help save lives every day.

Behind locked doors, the disciples heard Jesus say the words they needed most: “Peace be with you.”

We see that same peace is alive today.

In Kitui County, Kenya, a new Kangaroo Mother Care Center is giving mothers and their premature babies a safe place to heal through lifesaving skin‑to‑skin care. Tiny lives are growing stronger, and mothers are finding peace in their child’s earliest days.

This week reminds us that peace grows when we walk together, and that protecting life is always a shared mission.

“When my little boy got sick, it felt like the world no longer existed for me.” – Sabina

In Peru, Sabina was determined to help her son Liam thrive. She enrolled Liam in CMMB’s Rehabilitation with Hope, our community-based program that brings quality therapies to children with physical and cognitive challenges.

Today, Liam is an active toddler, able to move around, feed himself, and play with joy.

For Sabina, the support she found through CMMB helped her for her journey, too.

May is Mental Health Awareness Month!

At CMMB, we know caregivers can’t support their patients if they themselves are not fully supported. That’s why CMMB Peru is equipping health workers with the tools, resources, and training they need to care for their own mental well-being allowing them to effectively care for their patients with compassion.

Together, let’s champion mental wellness for all.

Safe motherhood starts with prepared hospitals, protected health workers, and access to essential care.

Together with St. Dominic’s Catholic Hospital and partners, including Henry Schein, Inc., Airlink, Kirk Humanitarian, and Previnex, CMMB delivered medicines and maternity care supplies expected to support 2,000 mothers, babies, and patients in Nigeria – a country with one of the highest maternal mortality rates in the world.

This World Hypertension Day, we’re reminded that no one should face chronic illness alone.

In Kenya, CMMB’s NCDI program is working alongside government partners to make reliable, affordable access to medications for hypertension and diabetes a permanent reality in primary healthcare.

Because managing noncommunicable diseases isn’t just about treatment, it’s about building strong systems that ensure care is always within reach. Together, we’re walking a shared mission to protect life and create healthier futures for all.

On a mountaintop, Jesus gave His disciples a mission and made them a promise: “I am with you always.”

That promise still lives on today. At CMMB, we see it in every partnership that brings hope where it’s needed most. Recently, through the strength of our global network, St. Dominic’s Catholic Hospital in Nigeria received essential safe-birth supplies, helping save the lives of a mother and her newborn baby girl.

This Sunday, we are reminded that we are never sent alone. When we work together, we can protect life in places that need it most
