New Dorp Lane District provides beautification, events & business support to the neighborhood.

EVENT ALERT: The 7th Annual New Dorp Lane District Car Show is scheduled for Sunday, September 28th, 2025. Founded by The New Dorp Merchants Association, Councilman Steven Matteo and the Staten Island Economic Development Corporation (SIEDC) in 2014, the New Dorp Lane District one of New York City's business improvement districts aimed at organizing the business community along New Dorp Lane and to provide them additional services in order to enhance the economic vitality of the corridor.

Happy New Year! As we kick off 2026, check out our video recap highlighting all the fun from our 11th Annual Tree Lighting and hear what members of the community had to say. Held last month, the celebration brought hundreds of attendees to the Lane to enjoy the holiday season while supporting the vibrant local businesses and organizations that make our district so special.

A heartfelt thank you to NYC Councilman David Carr, SIEDC, the NYC Department of Small Business Services, Empire State Bank, Crossroads Church, and PS Finance for helping make this wonderful community tradition possible.

Yesterday, we had a blast ringing in the holiday season with over 500 attendees at the 11th Annual New Dorp Tree Lighting! 🎄✨ We had a special visit from Santa, bounce house, trackless train, giveaways, and an adorable petting zoo that families loved.
We also enjoyed amazing performances by the Susan E. Wagner High School Marching Band and Mrs. Rosemary’s Dance Studio, who brought incredible energy to the night. 🎶

Crossroads Church kept everyone warm with hot cocoa and even offered free gift wrapping!

A huge thank-you to AF Bennett, Piece-A-Cake, and NYC Breakfast Cafe for handing out treats and hot cocoa throughout the event — you made the evening even sweeter.

We’re grateful to NYC Councilman David Carr, the NYC Department of Small Business Services, Empire State Bank, Crossroads Church, and PS Finance for making this incredible community celebration possible.

And a big shoutout to Partners in Sound for providing amazing entertainment all evening long.

The 7th Annual Car Show took over New Dorp Lane last Sunday! 🚘 This event wouldn’t have been possible without the hard work and dedication of the New Dorp BID Car Show Committee. For months, they met every Monday to plan, organize, and bring their vision to life, and it showed in the amazing turnout of cars, crowds, and support for the local businesses that make New Dorp Lane a go-to destination for shopping and dining on Staten Island.

Shifting gears from the Restaurant Crawl, our Car Show Committee was hard at work last night finalizing plans for the 7th Annual New Dorp Lane Car Show. Join us on Sunday, September 28th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on New Dorp Lane (between Hylan Blvd. & South Railroad Ave. SI, NY 10306). 🚗🏁

Vehicle registration starts at 7:00 a.m. and costs $25 per vehicle (cash only). Enter through New Dorp Plaza. Call (718) 477-1400, ext. 836 for more info. The Car Show is FREE for all spectators. Whether you’re a motorhead or just looking for a fun day out, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
