Earlier this month, the RoHawks travelled to Houston, Texas to compete in FIRST Championships for the first time in 9 years. Competing in the Milstein division, we had an amazing time working with and being inspired by other teams, as well as pushing the boundaries of what our robot could do. The RoHawks also earned the Industrial Design award for our unique robot design and engineering approach, marking team history with our first award at Champs. As we close out an incredible 2026 season, we would like to thank all of our mentors, advisors, sponsors, and parents, without whom this year would not have been possible. We can’t wait to see what the future holds for the team! 💜🦅

ROHAWKS AT NYC REGIONALS
A (slightly belated) look at our unforgettable time at New York City Regionals.

We are so unbelievably happy to have made finals with our awesome alliance partners and — as well as qualify for world championships!!!

Thank you so so much to everyone we competed with, as well as the judges for awarding us an excellence in engineering award, as well as the leadership award!!

This was absolutely a competition we will remember forever💜💜💜
SEE YOU IN HOUSTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The RoHawks are still celebrating an unforgettable NYC Regional for many reasons, but especially because our very own media lead, Maddie, was named a FIRST Leadership Award finalist!!

From supporting outreach and growing our marketing team to teaching and inspiring those around her, Maddie’s impact makes our team better in every way. A vibrant and genuinely welcoming presence both in robotics and out, Maddie’s passion and drive to make robotics accessible creates an incredible community within the RoHawks. This recognition couldn’t be more deserved.

Congratulations, Maddie! We’re so proud of you 💜🦅
