Happy 117th Birthday to the Subway! NoHo’s own Bleecker Street is one of the 28 original stations that opened this day in 1904. We’re celebrating with some of our favorite photos of the station over the years. First photo is in the ‘80s, second photo is around the holidays in the early ‘60s, and the last photo shows the picture in 1905, shortly after opening.

This weekend is taking over the 2nd floor of 55 Bond with a pop-up exhibition titled ‘Specter’. These ghostly garments are ephemeral and full of light - a beautiful display that you can see this weekend only. Check her profile for more info.

NYSW is hosting a pop up in NYC October 6-21st! Plan a visit to our pop-up urban farm classroom and explore how hydroponic farming is changing the way science is taught in NYC public schools. Visitors will get a firsthand look at how NY Sun Works brings hands-on science, sustainability, and climate education to K-12 students while growing fresh vegetables right in their own classroom farm.

If you’ve been around NoHo for awhile, you probably know Renato Vasconez. Like any person who has been around the neighborhood for nearly 40 years, he has a lot of fond memories, fascinating stories, and entertaining tales of the neighborhood he loves. We’re so excited to share a very special spotlight on his time in the neighborhood - from Basquiat to Madonna, KITH to Crosby Connections, Renato has many interesting stories. He’s currently the super of 640 Broadway , but he’s worked in NoHo’s buildings for many years. Check out the link in bio to read more.

The Bayard Condict Building is a beautiful Louis Sullivan designed architectural marvel, his only work in NYC. Next time you’re on Bleecker or Crosby, make sure to look up at the amazingly ornate stone work!
