Join us on Sunday for our Malikah Monthly Membership Meeting at the park 🧺🌸💜

Come close out the summer with a beautiful picnic in the park! Slow down, connect, and spend intentional time together with others in your community✨

Bring blankets and snacks and come build community with your Muslim sistersđź’ś

We’ll share updates from Malikah, talk through what’s happening in our communities, and hold space for meaningful conversation, reflection, and getting to know each other more deeply. We are also going to be doing a mini know your rights immigration workshop.

Open to Malikah members and anyone who feels aligned with the space. Membership is always open to join anytime as a way to stay connected.

We were honored to join so many of our partners at the Data Disaggregation Convening, especially in light of the work we’ve been leading here in New York to make sure Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) communities are finally seen, counted and represented in our data.

When our communities are invisible in the data, our needs, experiences and contributions can be invisible in policy too. Proud to keep building alongside partners across the country fighting for better data, greater visibility and equity for our communities.

We were honored to welcome the Commissioner of the NYC Mayor’s Office of Immigrant Affairs (NYC Immigrants) to the Malikah Safety Center in Queens! 💛

We had the opportunity to share more about Malikah’s programs and services supporting immigrant and low-income women and girls, from violence prevention and self-defense to healing, organizing, financial literacy, mutual aid and community care.

So much of our work is rooted in making sure immigrant women and families have access to the resources, safety and support they deserve right here in their neighborhoods. We’re grateful for the opportunity to share what we’re seeing on the ground and discuss how our city can continue showing up for immigrant New Yorkers.

Get creative this back-to-school season at Malikah x Sitwat DIY T-Shirt Station! Join us for a fun and interactive experience where you’ll have the opportunity to design and create a custom T-shirt that reflects your unique style.

Participants will be able to:
• Choose from a variety of designs
• Select your preferred T-shirt
• Press your design on-site
• Personalize your shirt and make it your own

This hands-on activity is open to all ages and is a great opportunity to get creative, spend time with family and friends, and create something you’ll be excited to wear.
