My name is Martha Nora Zarate and I'm thrilled to share the beginning of many projects. My mission is to use hand made crafts, as a form of collaboration with indigenous communities throughout Mexico in my choreographic work. This will initiate a helpful link and bridge that will enable their extraordinary efforts to continue to be transmitted to a wider
audience. This link will also keep alive and corroborate our Mexican dances and traditions as an art form. As a Poblana in New York, and because most Mexican residents in New York are from the State of Puebla; there is no better place for me to begin my work than with a program that explores all the essence of the indigenous groups (Huastecos, Nahuas and Totonacos) of the Sierra Norte Region of Puebla:
"Puebla York". You can contact us at : [email protected]
