Faith Based Ministries was founded by Joseph M. Gonzalez in June 2014. The ministry name and its purpose is a testament and accumulation of his walk and life as a Christian. Joseph was prophetically called into the teaching ministry 1989. Although his life has taken him down some difficult paths during his journey through life, he learned the hard way running from his call was not the solution. In
2006 God once again reaffirmed the calling upon Joseph and he began yet again taking small steps by staying active in the churches where he served. After facing his latest challenge at a local church where he served, Joseph made a final choice to answer the call and be obedient to what God called him to do. In March of 2014, he placed a petition before God and prayed specifically for 4 things. 1. He prayed for direction. 2. The name of the ministry. 3. A clear logo to represent the ministry and 4. In April of 2014 God answered him prophetically and was instructed to ask and to be released by the Pastor of the church where he served the last seven years. God began to lay out the plan designed through the Holy Spirit for him and Faith Based Ministries was birthed in June, designed on a napkin while dinning with his wife. In that one moment, God answered three of the 4 petitions he laid before God. God has blessed him with the gift of writing and has been sharing original devotionals on FaceBook since 2009 and also through E-mails for those that are not on FB. At his church, he has served as a teacher for the adults in the school of ministry with Pastor Martin Tursi. Since he has been a youth leader as a young man he worked with the youth ministry with Pastor Teddy Otobo-Sheriff and was the leader of the media sales ministry with Pastor Tito Corsino in the Spanish ministry. He also opened the door to start a Chaplin’s ministry where he currently serves as Director with Latin African American Chaplin’s Association under Bishop Rev. Fernando Rodriquez. His service under these Pastors has prepared him well and served as a training process leading him, through the Spirit, to go into full time ministry and be anointed as Pastor on January 10, 2015. In answering his last petition before God, he has been given a clear purpose to his role in ministry. Faith Based Ministries is dedicated to reuniting Christians across all denominations, breaking down religious walls, to fellowship under one faith and to have a re-connection and true passion for a real, lasting and committed relationship with Christ breaking away from routine type relationships. May God continue to bless and expand his territory in ministry and continue to lead and bless his family and those seeking a connection with Christ leading into a healthy fellowship?
