A Mission of Love; A Fight for a Cure
The mission and vision of Pietro’sfight.org is to increase worldwide awareness of Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, with the purpose of raising and appropriating funds for research that will realize a cure for this fatal disease and ensure that children like Pietro have the opportunity to enjoy a full life. While our efforts are ongoing and we will not stop until
we find a cure, we recognize that time is of the essence for many of these young boys, and that significant financial support is needed now to help make a difference in their lives. We will direct all money raised on this site into the hands of researchers who have the best shot at developing a treatment or cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Our goal is to cure DMD in time to save Pietro’s life, and the lives of thousands of boys just like him. Several established organizations provide helpful services for families struggling to provide for their DMD-afflicted children. In contrast, our sole mission is to fund a cure or treatment for Duchenne. We invest our money in translational research – research that focuses on moving science from the lab into human clinical trials. We work with the leading scientists in the world who are helping us to determine the most viable research projects, accelerate the clinical trial process, and bring potential life-saving drugs to this generation of Duchenne boys. Our vision is to raise awareness, extend and improve the lives of those afflicted with Duchenne.
