Artificial intelligence is changing the way cities move.
The next generation of traffic signals isn't just following a timer—it's making decisions in real time.
AI-powered traffic management systems are helping cities reduce congestion, improve pedestrian safety, prioritize emergency vehicles, and keep public transit moving more efficiently. By analyzing live traffic conditions, these intelligent systems can adapt instantly to changing demand, creating safer, more connected, and more sustainable communities.
This is just one example of how emerging technologies are transforming urban infrastructure and shaping the future of cities.
At Tomorrow.City USA, we bring together the public and private sector leaders driving these innovations to share ideas, build partnerships, and explore solutions that improve the places we live and work.

What if a city could know a storm was coming — and automatically protect the exact basements most at risk, hours before the first drop of rain fell?
That's not science fiction. That's what AI-powered digital twin technology is doing for cities right now in 2026.
A digital twin is a real-time virtual replica of a city — its buildings, traffic, utilities, water systems, and population — running continuously on IoT sensors, AI, and live data. Cities like Singapore, Helsinki, and Boston are already using them to make faster, smarter decisions about how to grow, manage, and protect their urban environments. Singapore's AI-enabled fleet management platform alone oversees more than 6,000 buses using digital twin technology, dynamically responding to delays and reducing emissions in real time.
This is the kind of breakthrough that doesn't make the front page — but quietly changes everything about how cities function.
At Tomorrow.City USA, this is exactly the conversation we exist to accelerate. The leaders deploying these tools and the city officials who need to understand them need to be in the same room — and that room is Palm Beach.
Follow us to stay connected to the innovations shaping the future of cities.

Congestion isn’t just an inconvenience — it’s a barrier to opportunity, productivity, and progress.

Congestion pricing is one tool cities are using to ease traffic, fund better transit, and build smarter, more sustainable urban futures.

What’s your take — necessary solution or too soon? Let’s keep the conversation going.

Public sector AI will fail without the trust infrastructure cities need to adopt it responsibly.

A recent World Economic Forum article argues that AI sovereignty is increasingly shaped by access to compute, power, secure connectivity, data centers, capital, and governance.

For cities, that should be a wake-up call.

Public agencies are under pressure to use AI to improve services, strengthen operations, and make faster decisions. But responsible adoption cannot stop at selecting the right tool or launching a pilot.

Cities also have to ask harder infrastructure questions.

And we want to hear how you would answer them:

Who controls the systems AI depends on?
Where is public data processed?
What safeguards are enforceable?
How is trust continuously proven?
What happens if a city becomes locked into one vendor, platform, or geography?

These are not abstract policy questions. They are the foundation of responsible public sector AI adoption.

Shared AI infrastructure can help more cities access the capabilities they need. But without clear rules, secure data management, auditability, transparency, and exit options, it can also create new dependencies.

The future of public sector AI will not be defined by pilots alone.

It will be defined by whether cities can build the trust architecture needed to use AI responsibly, securely, and in the public interest.

Join us in West Palm Beach, April 13–14, 2027, to explore how cities can build the infrastructure, governance, and trust needed for responsible AI.

Which of these questions should cities be prioritizing first?

Housing is a top priority for every public leader including Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens. At Tomorrow City USA, he spoke of coming into office with the goal of building 20,000 units of affordable housing in eight years. Four years later, he’s already built 13,000 units so that police officers, school teachers, nurses, bus drivers, firefighters — anyone who is a part of the service economy — can live in the City of Atlanta.
