NYC is the first city in America to enforce a Click to Cancel rule, in effect starting today. Companies that trap New Yorkers in hard-to-cancel subscriptions can now be fined, and it is projected to save New Yorkers up to $162.5 million per year.
The ask: let people know they can file a complaint at nyc.gov/click-to-cancel any time a company makes it hard to get out of a subscription.
