Art takes many forms at APJ, and it plays a leading role in how we inspire and bring people together. Our performances are more than moments on stage, they’re a reflection of who we are.

As we plan for this year’s 18th Annual APJ Gala during the Toronto Film Festival, we can’t wait to share the performances we have in store. APJ is rooted in art, and we always strive to stay true to that DNA. We love bringing together incredible artists to continue sharing moments that feel meaningful and bring purpose to our work.

May marks Haitian Heritage Month, a time to honour the rich history, vibrant culture, and lasting impact of Haiti and its global community 🇭🇹

From the legacy of the first Black-led republic to the ongoing contributions of Haitians across fields like art, education, science, and beyond, this month is about recognition, pride, and storytelling.

Through music, film, dance, and visual art, Haitian culture continues to evolve while staying deeply rooted in history and identity.

This month, we celebrate Haitian culture, history, and the voices continuing to define it.

The difference a teacher makes can look like many things. ✨

It looks like showing up each day with care, patience, and the belief that every child deserves the chance to learn.

It looks like encouragement when a student needs it most.
It looks like consistency in moments of uncertainty.
It looks like reminding a child that their future is still worth believing in.

At the Academy for Peace and Justice, this work is carried out every single day.

What is given to students reaches far beyond academics. That presence, dedication, and care leaves a lasting impact on families, on the community, and on the future being built.

We truly appreciate and honour the teachers whose work continues to change lives in ways both seen and unseen.

Happy Earth Day 🌍🌱

This Earth Day, we’re celebrating a project that continues to grow in meaningful ways.

At the Academy for Peace and Justice in Haiti, we’ve helped create and support a school garden where students and their families grow and harvest crops that help provide food for both the Academy and their homes.

Made possible through the generosity of our donors and partners, the garden is more than a source of fresh produce. It’s a place for hands-on learning, environmental education, and connection, giving students the opportunity to build practical skills while actively supporting their community.

Today, the APJ Garden and Cantine Project supports more than 1,300 students and their families and continues to reflect the power of education, sustainability, and community working hand in hand.

As we begin planning for this year’s 18th Annual APJ Gala, we’re reflecting on the impact of last year’s unforgettable evening. ✨

Rooted in purpose, it was more than a celebration. It was a powerful gathering in support of education, opportunity, and community.

Every conversation, every contribution, and every person in the room played a part in moving this mission forward.

It’s moments like these that remind us why we do what we do and what’s possible when people come together with heart.

We’re grateful for the partners who help turn the APJ Gala into a moment of real impact.

For the past several years, 2Fifteen Living by DBS Developments has proudly served as the official auction partner for Artists for Peace and Justice, helping bring one of the most exciting and meaningful parts of the evening to life.

The APJ Gala auction has become a highlight of the night, featuring a curated selection of limited-edition artwork, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and extraordinary offerings from around the world. Through the creativity and generosity of partners like this moment helps raise critical funds that support students and education programs in Haiti.

As we begin planning for this year’s gala, we’re excited to continue building something special together.

For students in Haiti, education is still a source of hope, even in the face of immense hardship.

The reality is, many students are navigating incredibly difficult and uncertain conditions, where safety and stability cannot always be guaranteed. And yet, students continue to pursue their education with remarkable strength and resilience.

They keep showing up because they believe in the possibility of a better future.

Their commitment to learning, despite the challenges around them, is deeply inspiring and continues to fuel the work being done at the school and beyond.

Support like yours continues to make a real difference. If you’d like to help support students at The Academy for Peace and Justice, donations can be made through the link in our bio.

Thank you for standing with our students and helping make a lasting difference. ❤️

This Easter season, we’re sending heartfelt thanks to the incredible team at The Ritz-Carlton, Toronto for once again finding a meaningful way to give back to Artists for Peace and Justice. 💛

This year, their team created 11 beautifully handcrafted Easter eggs, with a portion of proceeds going toward APJ’s work in Haiti.

For many in Haiti, Easter is a meaningful season shaped by faith, culture, and tradition. Even in the face of ongoing challenges, it remains a season that can carry a powerful sense of hope, reflection, and renewal.

We are deeply grateful to for the many ways they have stood alongside APJ over the years, and for bringing such generosity, care, and creativity to this special initiative.

Thank you for helping invest in hope and in the future of Haiti. ✨

Today, we honour the life and legacy of Jane Goodall on her birthday.

A pioneering force in science, conservation, and humanitarianism, Dr. Goodall transformed our understanding of the natural world and redefined the relationship between humans and animals. Through her decades of work with animals and her unwavering advocacy for the planet, she inspired generations to lead with empathy, curiosity, and action.

Artists for Peace and Justice had the profound honour of presenting Dr. Goodall with the APJ Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing not only her groundbreaking contributions to science, but her lifelong commitment to protecting our world and uplifting communities across the globe.

Her words continue to guide us: “What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.”

Today, we celebrate her enduring impact and carry forward the hope, compassion, and purpose she instilled in so many. 💚

Celebrating a special moment for Canadian music as kick off.

We’re so proud to see being inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame at the 2026 JUNO Awards, a truly special and well-deserved recognition.

She has continuously shown up with generosity and intention, using her voice and artistry to create moments that truly resonate and bring people closer to our mission. Her ongoing involvement has made a lasting impact on our community and the work we do.

A heartfelt thank you to the JUNO Awards for their continued support of APJ, including donating JUNO tickets to our fundraising auction.

Wishing all of this year’s nominees the best of luck at the JUNOs!
