Major citywide protest tomorrow evening, January 16! We don't want any more of our elected officials partying with the landlords and developers who are tearing apart our communities.

Join us at the CASA General Membership meeting tonight (6-8pm at 1514 Townsend Ave or by zoom) or contact an organizer to learn more. Come to 35 Marcy Pl by 3:30pm to take the bus with us, or make your own plans to travel to Manhattan.

The RGB is coming to the Bronx! Are you ready to share your story?

On June 3, at 5pm, we'll be gathering outside of Hostos College at Grand Concourse and 149th St to rally and speak to the media, then we'll go inside and share testimony.

¡El RGB llega al Bronx! ¿Estás listo para compartir tu historia?

El 3 de junio, a las 5pm, nos reuniremos afuera de Hostos College en Grand Concourse y 149th St para reunirnos y hablar con los medios, luego entraremos y compartiremos testimonios.

Community Action for Safe Apartments (CASA), a project of New Settlement, is made up of community residents who work together to improve the living conditions in our neighborhood and maintain affordable housing through collective action.

WHY IS PATRICE CALLING FOR A RENT ROLL BACK?

The RGB will come to Hostos on the evening of June 3rd to hear directly from tenants in the Bronx. It's so important that hundreds of us show up and tell our stories about why we can't afford another rent increase and why our landlords shouldn't get more money. Come to our general membership meeting this Wednesday evening 5/15 at 1501 Jerome Ave or our campaign meeting next Wednesday evening 5/22 at 35 Marcy Pl to learn more and start practicing your own testimony.

¿POR QUÉ PATRICE PIDE UNA REDUCCIÓN DE ALQUILERES?

El RGB vendrá a Hostos la noche del 3 de junio para escuchar directamente a los inquilinos del Bronx. Es muy importante que cientos de nosotros nos presentemos y contemos nuestras historias sobre por qué no podemos permitirnos otro aumento de alquiler y por qué nuestros caseros no deberían recibir más dinero. The Rent Guidelines Board season has begun, with the preliminary vote last week and the Bronx Public Hearing on Monday June 3 at Hostos! If you or someone you care about lives in a rent stabilized apartment in the Bronx, you'll want to get involved in the fight for a rent roll back.
