It’s 18 years since our first Feis Teamhra: A Turn at Tara that grew from a 2007 event on the steps of New York’s irish Consulate protesting the Irish government’s plans to construct the M3 motorway that now cuts through the valley. You’re welcome to join un Sunday 23 August at 3PM at the Visitor Centre on the Hill of Tara for our annual free event celebrating prose poetry and song at the home of the harp and the Irish bardic tradition and the harp.

At last week’s annual Family Fun Day we got to make more Inchicore Community Portraits! Families, friends, and neighbours posed together like family for photos showing the heart of the community. The day was full of smiling faces, magic, and lots of fun! The portraits we captured will be featured in future projects like the banner on Tyrone Place.

We're getting ready to publish our Lower East Side Community Folklore and Local Legends projects. Ryan and Micah were two of the participants who learned about folklore, interviewed NYCHA residents, edited the stories into a podcast and made short films about the struggles of people who lived here before us.
