Sometimes the hardest part of moving your career forward is figuring out how to get unstuck.

When Summer Morrison moved to New York, she hoped to build a career that drew on her background in education and biotech. When the right opportunities didn’t materialize, she began attempting to pay the bills, and soon realized those temporary roles were starting to define her career path.

Summer knew she was capable of more. She just needed support navigating what came next.

Through StreetWise Partners, Summer gained career coaching, mentorship, and connections that helped her move from feeling stuck to moving forward with greater clarity and confidence.

Today, Summer is a Spring 2026 StreetWise Bridge graduate and recipient of the Inspiration in Action Award, sponsored by Mizuho.

Today, we are celebrating Lauren Silberstein and an exciting new chapter in her leadership at StreetWise Partners.

As of September 1, Lauren has taken on an expanded leadership role as Chief Program and Operations Officer, overseeing Programs, Operations, Finance, HR, and the organizational infrastructure that supports our work and impact.

Lauren has been part of StreetWise since 2015, bringing deep expertise in workforce development and an unwavering commitment to expanding opportunity. A Licensed Master Social Worker with an MSW from Columbia University, she has spent 20 years building programs and services for underrepresented communities, including 15 years in workforce development.

Over the past decade, Lauren has helped shape StreetWise’s programs, strengthen our organization, and support countless participants, partners, and colleagues. Most recently, she stepped in as Interim CEO, providing steady leadership through an important period of transition.

Lauren's promotion reflects the confidence our Board, staff, and our CEO Anna Verdiyan place in her leadership. Congratulations, Lauren, and thank you for your continued dedication to this mission.

As StreetWise looks toward its next chapter, Lauren’s experience, institutional knowledge, and deep commitment to our mission will be invaluable.

Congratulations to the Spring 2026 StreetWise Bridge cohort in New York City on graduating from the program!

We were thrilled to celebrate this milestone at the Hudson Yards office of HSBC alongside mentors, volunteers, partners, and other supporters. We also welcomed the Fall 2025 cohort in person after a snowstorm forced their original celebration to be held virtually.

The evening featured welcoming remarks from Lloyd Plenty, Chief Risk Officer of HSBC USA; and an inspiring keynote address from Padma Elmgart, Vice Chair of the StreetWise Partners Board of Directors and Non-Executive Director of HSBC Bank USA.

The Inspiration in Action Award, presented by Mizuho was given to Summer and Jovany, who were selected by their fellow mentees and mentors for their dedication and positive impact throughout the program. In addition to the honor, each recipient will receive a stipend to support their transition from job seeker to professional.

Thank you to HSBC for hosting this special celebration and to LinkedIn for providing each graduate with one year of LinkedIn Premium to help grow their professional networks.
