41 Artists in Australia are hanging posters guerilla-style in major cities: "As a collective group of Australian artists, we have been driven to reclaim public advertising space with posters speaking to the Australian government's inaction on climate change and the devastating bushfires. We do not accept that this situation is 'business as usual'. We are making these issues visible in our public spaces and in our media; areas monopolized by entities maintaining conservative climate denial agendas. If the newspapers won't print the story, we will!"

Freedom Rider. Activist. Artist.

Janet Braun-Reinitz began her career as a civil rights activist in 1961 when she boarded a bus headed for segregated southern states in an act of non-violent protest. The occupants of these buses were known as Freedom Riders. Hear in Janet's words what it was like to challenge segregation in the deep South.

This Free Lecture will take place on Thursday, November 21 at 6PM in Aquinas Hall at Mount Saint Mary College.
