Congratulations again to Ricardo José Rivera, a 2025 Sullivan Award winner!

Ricardo made his role debut as Riccardo Forth in I puritani at the The Metropolitan Opera this season, following his company debut as Dominik in Arabella. Other recent engagements included Conte di Luna in Il trovatore at Sarasota Opera, the title role of Don Giovanni at Teatro Nuovo, and Guglielmo in Così fan tutte at Opera San Jose.

Ricardo was a member of The Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Opera Center Ryan Center Ensemble and a Renée Fleming Artist at Aspen Music Festival and Schoolt and earned music degrees from Rice University and the Puerto Rico Conservatory of Music. Awards include a Richard F. Gold Career Grant and a Richard Tucker Career Grant.

Congratulations again to Sunwoo Park, winner of the 2025 Sullivan Award in memory of soprano Gail Robinson, a longtime trustee of the foundation.

Sunwoo's experience includes singing Susanna in Le nozze di Figaro at Opera Santa Barbara and performing as a Filene Artist at Wolf Trap Opera and an Apprentice Artist at Santa Fe Opera.

Sunwoo earned degrees from the University of Southern California and Seoul National University. Her honors include winning prizes from the Loren L. Zachary Vocal Competition and the Maria Caniglia International Singing Competition. And she recorded the main title song of “Tachikoma,” a Japanese animated movie.

Congratulations again Trevor Haumschilt-Rocha, a 2025 Career Development Grant winner!

Trevor is a member the Volksoper Wien Opernstudio, where he sang the role of Falke in Die Fledermaus this fall and will be featured as Count Almaviva in Le nozze di Figaro this March. He recently made Opernhaus Zürich debut as Monterone in Rigoletto.

Trevor earned vocal music degrees from San Diego State University and The Juilliard School. He's been a festival artist with Opera Saratoga and a Renée Fleming artist with Aspen Music Festival and School. His honors include awards from Neue Stimmen, the Richard Tucker Music Foundation, the Giulio Gari Foundation, the Jensen Foundation, Opera at Florham, and Opera Index.

Congratulations again to Lindsay Martin, a 2025 Sullivan Award winner!

Lindsay is in her second year with the The Metropolitan Opera;s Lindemann Young Artist Development program. She made her Met debut last season as Countess Ceprano in Rigoletto, and she will be featured as Flora in La Traviata in 2026. She also has upcoming engagements at the Santa Fe Opera

With degrees in voice from the University of Southern California's Thornton School of Music and the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, Lindsay is an alumna of Curtis Institute of Music's Summerfest Young Artist program, Aspen Music Festival and School's Opera Theater and VocalARTS program, and San Francisco Opera's Merola Opera Program. Her awards include recognition from the Metropolitan Opera's Laffont Competition, the James Tolan Vocal Arts Competition, and Houston Grand Opera's Eleanor McCollum Competition.

Congratulations again to Yazid Gray, who won a 2025 Career Development Grant! His award is designated in memory of Richard Gaddes, a longtime trustee of the foundation, and general director of Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and the Santa Fe Opera.

Yazid is singing several engagements with Pittsburgh Opera this season: Yakuside in Madama Butterfly, Tommy McIntyre in Fellow Travelers, the Traveller in Curlew River, and Robin Grace in the world premiere of Time to Act (Kaminsky/Manich). Last summer he performed the role of Baron Douphol in La traviata with Berkshire Opera Festival, and he was a soloist in Letters from Lincoln with the Columbus Symphony earlier this year.

Yazid participated in artist training programs at Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, The Glimmerglass Festival, Arizona Opera, Pittsburgh Opera, Chautauqua Opera Company, and Opera Santa Barbara. He earned vocal performance degrees from University of Michigan and DePauw University

Congratulations again to Christopher Humbert Jr., a 2025 Sullivan Award winner! Christopher's award is designated in memory of mezzo-soprano Betty Allen, a longtime trustee of the foundation and president of The Harlem School of the Arts

Christopher is a member of the Lyric Opera of Chicago's Ryan Opera Center, where his 2025-26 roles include Captain of the Guard in Medea, Second Soldier in Salome, and the Imperial Commissioner in Madama Butterfly. He made his Salzburg Festival debut last summer while participating in the 2025 Young Singers project. He was recently featured as a soloist in Verdi's Requiem with the Nashville Symphony in Haydn's Creation with the Seattle Symphony, and in the Damnation of Faust with The Santa Fe Symphony Orchestra & Chorus. He will perform Händel’s Messiah with Erie Philharmonic later this month.

Christopher was in young artist programs at Palm Beach Opera, Seagle Festival, and Opera Theatre of Saint Louis and has music degrees from Capital University and Boston Conservatory.

Congratulations again to Gregory Feldmann, a 2025 Sullivan Award winner!

Greg was in the International Opera Studio at Zürich Opera and recently sang the title role of Hamlet at the Buxton Festival. He has degrees from and participated in young artist programs at Ravinia Festival's Steans Music Institute, The Glimmerglass Festival, and Opera Theatre of Saint Louis.

Greg is singing Marcello in Opera Saratoga's upcoming holiday concert of La bohème and returns to Zürich to sing Dancaïre in Carmen early next year.

Congratulations again to Meg Brilleslyper on winning a 2025 Career Development Grant!

Meg is in the Bayerishe Staatoper's Opera Studio for the 2025-2026 season. She was a young artist with San Francisco Opera's Merola Opera Program, a vocal fellow at the Music Academy of the West, and a studio artist with the Aspen Music Festival and School. She has degrees from the Eastman School of Music and Rice University's Shepherd School of Music.

Congratulations again to Sullivan award winner Tiffany Choe! Her award is designated in memory of soprano Rose Bampton, a longtime trustee of the Foundation.

Tiffany's experience includes the Washington National Opera's Cafritz Young Artist Program, Arizona Opera's Marion Roose Pullin Opera Studio, and Ravinia Festival's Steans Music Institute Fellowship program. She studied at Indiana University's Jacobs School of Music.

Congratulations again to Alec Carlson, winner of the 2025 Sullivan Award in memory of tenor David Lloyd, a long-time trustee and executive director of the Foundation.

Alec's experience includes singing with the Lyric Opera of Chicago Ryan Opera Center, the Santa Fe Opera Apprentice Program, the Wolf Trap Opera Studio, and the Houston Grand Opera Young Artist Vocal Academy. He recently performed the role of Erik in Der Fliegende Holländer at Opera Nacional de Chile.
