This week Cape Fear River Watch and SELC filed suit against Chemours alleging violations of the Clean Water Act and Toxic Substances Control Act at Fayetteville Works. Thanks to these partners and others who are advocating for the people and natural resources of the Cape Fear river basin!

Environmentalists on Wednesday asked a federal judge to halt all discharges from the Chemours Company’s plant near Fayetteville, over concerns about GenX contamination. GenX is a chemical used to make non-stick cookware and other products.

The Moore Charitable Foundation is proud to have supported years of Oceanic Whitetip Shark research, and this recent project in VR: Google Expeditions off The Bahamas' Cat Island! Thanks to all of the terrific collaborators - this work is critical to raising awareness about these amazing apex predators, and advancing important shark protection measures.

The research team from the Anderson Cabot Center and our partners are bringing conservation efforts to the classroom with Google Expeditions.
