Creativity, confidence, and storytelling took center stage this summer! ✨️

Our Supported Experimental Lab gave neurodivergent students the freedom to express themselves in their own unique ways and they absolutely SHINED! From handcrafting their own figures to acting, creating, and boldly sharing their ideas, our young filmmakers brought their imaginations to life!

We are so proud of these incredible young creators for giving others the chance to see their amazing ideas come to life!

Curious about their finished films? Follow our page to be informed about our fall film festival! 🍂

As part of her 2026 Outcalt Award experience, winner Lois Fosu had the opportunity to attend the Tribeca Film Festival with filmmaker Gabriel Alexis of Learn Filmmaking.

Special thanks to Gabriel Alexis and Learn Filmmaking for providing Lois with this incredible experience! Together, Lois and Gabriel attended the Tribeca Film Festival this past June, making for an unforgettable opportunity to celebrate filmmaking, connect with the industry, and experience the festival firsthand.

Reflecting on her experience, Lois shared:
“Being in a room where many others were struggling or were at the same point in life, and having the opportunity to be involved in the conversations in the room, gave me the advantage to network when it’s usually harder in spaces like these, which I am grateful for.”

We’re so excited to see where this experience takes Lois next!

We’re beyond proud of the connections being built between our NBCUniversal x Reel Works mentees and their industry mentors this season. From hair, makeup, and wardrobe artistry to studio utility, playback, and staging, these talented MediaMKRS alumni are growing tremendously under the guidance of their NBCUniversal mentors.

Celebrating the skills being gained and the relationships being built that will last well beyond this program!

Throwback to 2016! 😎

Shout out to the incredible participants who attended the 2026 YA Party! From making slime and tie-dye T-shirts to creating art and playing video games, there was something for everyone. One of the biggest highlights was everyone dancing and laughing together during Just Dance! 🥳

A huge thank you to our staff and Youth Ambassadors for creating such a fun, welcoming space where everyone could relax, connect, and make great memories. Of course, delicious food made the celebration even better! We loved seeing everyone having such a great time, and we're so glad those who came joined us. ✨️
