If you follow this page, you have probably seen my post about a fallen brother of ours, Robert Caridi. This fund was set up by a family member of Rob's to help his 2 sons who have lost 1 of the best men I have ever met. Rob was 1 of a kind, full of life and funny as all hell. I will miss him dearly, and the memories we made will always fill my soul. So please donate if you can. No amount is too small. It all will go to help both sons education. Thank you for anything you can give. I appreciate it and I know he would have as well.

This fundraiser has been created to support Connor and Sean Caridi after the sudden loss of their father, Robert Caridi. As a proud DSNY sanitation worker and former paramedic, Robert dedicated his life to serving others and his city, but nothing meant more to him than his kids. He always showed up....

RIP Robert Caridi
Nobody could match his charisma. Fierce a friend as fierce a player. Gave his all. All the time.
Win, lose or draw, you always kept your spirt. Your humor.
The times we shared on our trips I still to this day, remember as if it were yesterday.
You gave me and others so much of you.
Thank you for being my friend. My teammate. And mostly thank you for being you.
Gonna miss you Big Fella.

On behalf of the former dsny football team, it's with sadness we acknowledge the passing of Michael Buiso.
Michael played way back with the Dsny team in 2003 as an offensive lineman.
In his only season with the dsny, Mike was an asset that helped shape the future of the team. Although mostly silent on and off the field, Mike did speak through his actions, and toughness.
We send our condolences to his family, friends, and Co workers.

Mike Fessman. Forever #27.
It is with deep regret that I must announce the passing of Michael Fessman. Once a player for the Strongest, always a player for the Strongest.
Mike was the most easy going guy you'd ever come across. Never had I seen him be angry. A gentle giant.
A good egg. A great friend.
He leaves behind a wife, family and many , many friends.
May God welcome you as a friend. And May you watch upon those left behind.
Take care Fess. It was a pleasure to know you.

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Frank Dipietra.
Frank was an important cog of getting the Dsny football team established again back in 2002. He was our 1st defensive coordinator. He rejoined the team a few years later to help with special teams and team functions. He was also involved in our fundraising efforts and was truly a great member of our team.
Our prayers go out to his family and friends. May you rest easy now friend. Until we meet in that big huddle in the sky.

To all those here and abroad, Happy 4th of July!Be safe. And enjoy.

Memorial Day 2020:
In honor of Memorial Day, we would like to extend our gratitude, appreciation and our support for all the Law enforcement personnel, First responders, essential workers, and of course, all our Doctors and Nurses who have all unselfishly been the unsung heroes through what seems to be an eternity. Stay safe, stay strong, and Thank you.!

Memorial Day in General:
These are strange times. But not so unfamiliar to those who gave the ultimate sacrifice, their lives.
To all those Men & Women, who have fought for our freedom and continue to this day, we say Thank You.
Here is a little passage I used to wear on a Pow/Mia jacket. I have been told, this sums up what it means to serve.....

"you've never lived, till you've almost died. For those who fight for it, life has a flavor the protected will never know."
