Supports Brooklyn-based artists and 501(c)(3) organizations creating arts and cultural projects for local audiences. Funded by the NYC Department of Cultural Affairs, it offers grants plus mentorship, training, and creative networks. In 2026, $625,000 supported 136 projects.

☞ Culture Resource\Mawred- المورد الثقافي
Deadline: October 19, 2026
Production Awards support young artists and writers from the Arab region, locally or abroad, across performing and visual arts, literature, music/sound, and cinema. Up to 25 projects receive grants from €6,500 for literature to €13,000 for film, and up to €8,500 in other fields. For 2026, applicants must be born between January 1992 and December 2011.

☞ Triskelion Arts
Deadline: October 20, 2026
SPLIT BILL supports early-career NYC dance and movement artists developing and premiering new work. Selected artists receive a three-night run, lighting design, production and marketing support, funding guidance, video documentation, a photography stipend, and 20 hours of subsidized rehearsal space.

☞ Perform Europe
Deadline: October 22, 2026
Supports cross-border touring of finished performing arts works across 41 Creative Europe countries, with a focus on inclusion, diversity, and climate-conscious touring. Partnerships must include at least three professionals or organizations in three eligible countries and tour in at least three countries. Grants: €15,000, €25,000, or €55,000, plus up to €5,000 for accessibility/sustainability.

I'm Ricky Morant Jr., a being with a wide-open heart. I've spent the last 15 years touring the world with Cirque du Soleil, caring for the health of professional performing artists. My home base is Columbus, Ohio. I support Yaa Samar! Dance Theatre (YSDT) because I believe in the power of storytelling to shift how we see the world and how we experience those who share it with us. "The Store" (2012) was my introduction to how powerfully that storytelling can land. "Against a Hard Surface" (2017) crafted intimacy in relationship no matter the barrier. "Gathering" (2024) transmuted the scent of an orange from sensation to sentience. I give to YSDT because work this honest deserves to keep being made, and I will always support its movement.

أنا ريكي مورانت جونيور، إنسان يعيش بقلب منفتح على العالم. على مدى السنوات الخمس عشرة الماضية، جُبت العالم مع فرقة Cirque du Soleil، حيث أعمل على رعاية صحة الفنانين المحترفين في مجال الفنون الأدائية، بينما أتخذ من كولومبوس، أوهايو، مقرًا لي.

أدعم فرقة يا سمر! للرقص (YSDT) لأنني أؤمن بقوة الحكاية وقدرتها على التأثير. كان عرض الدكان عام 2012 أول لقاء لي مع قدرة الفرقة الاستثنائية على إيصال قصصها بعمق. وفي بعرض الحائط عام 2017، تجسدت الحميمية في العلاقات رغم كل الحواجز. أما جَمْعة عام 2024، فحوّل رائحة البرتقال من إحساس عابر إلى حضور حيّ وواعٍ. أدعم فرقة يا سمر! لأن هذا النوع من العمل، بما يحمله من صدق، يستحق أن يستمر ويُنجز، وسأظل دائمًا داعمًا لمسيرتها وحركتها.

After a sold out premiere run at La Batie Festival in Geneva, Switzerland, Shabaab heads to Les Subs in Lyon, France next month!

بعد عروضه الافتتاحية التي نفدت تذاكرها بالكامل ضمن مهرجان «La Bâtie» في جنيف، سويسرا، ينتقل عرض «شباب» الشهر المقبل إلى «Les SUBS» في مدينة ليون الفرنسية.

«حين يُقدَّم الإنسان باستمرار من خلال صورة تختزله في العنف والقسوة، لا تكاد تبقى مساحة تُرى فيها جوانبه الأخرى: الحنان، والخجل، والحب، والندم، والرغبة، والهشاشة. لذلك كان من الضروري بالنسبة لي أن يظهر هذان الرجلان كإنسانين بكل ما تحمله الكلمة من معنى. فهما غاضبان ومضحكان، صعبان ومحبّان؛ لديهما رغبات وندم وذكريات.

وجود الحنان في العمل ليس محاولة لجعلهما أكثر قبولًا، بل لأنه جزء حقيقي من تجربتهما. وبالنسبة لي، فإن الإصرار على إظهار هذه الحقيقة هو في حد ذاته فعل مقاومة؛ مقاومة للصورة الضيقة والمفروضة على الرجل العربي، وتأكيد على اتساع التجربة الإنسانية بكل تعقيداتها التي يحملها ويجسّدها.»

À La Bâtie, les Scènes du Grütli accueillent "Shabaab", dernière création de la chorégraphe américano-palestinienne à la tête de Yaa Samar! Dance Theatre. Entre danse, théâtre et marionnette, deux amis palestiniens grandissent sous occupation. Une histoire de jeunesse, de tendresse et d'amitié, traversée par l'obstination à imaginer encore un avenir.

YSDT artist Samaa Wakim and Artistic Director Samar Haddad King have collaborated for more than a decade, bringing together movement, sound, memory, and the Palestinian experience. Their 2021 collaboration "Losing It" features Wakim’s choreography/performance alongside King’s live music and field recordings from Palestine. Through this dialogue between body and sound, the work explores fear, intergenerational trauma, identity, and the experience of growing up amid occupation and violence. Performances on Oct 13 & 14!
Aya Aziz, a gifted composer, teacher and performing artist, will be our event MC on October 13, and will also treat us to a set of original music! Her highly acclaimed work examines diaspora, power, and belonging. Aya is currently working on her debut album. When she’s not creating, she’s in a salt marsh finishing her graduate degree in environmental science.
After years of working across the music industry, Moody Kablawi -- also the Technical Director for Losing It -- will take off the tech hat on October 14 and get behind the decks as DJ Kudy, with a set rooted in music from the Arab World and his own productions. Moody’s set is a journey between eras, styles and moods (80s sounds, disco, electro and contemporary rhythms) to keep the energy high and the dance floor moving.

تتعاون سماء واكيم والمديرة الفنية للفرقة سمر حداد كينغ منذ أكثر من عقد، في أعمال تجمع الحركة والصوت والذاكرة والتجربة الفلسطينية. في «تبًّا»، يلتقي أداء وتصميم واكيم الحركي مع موسيقى كينغ الحية وتسجيلاتها الميدانية من فلسطين، لاستكشاف الخوف والتراوما المتوارثة والهوية وتجربة النشأة في ظل الاحتلال والعنف. العروض في 13 و14 أكتوبر!

في 13 أكتوبر، تقدّم المؤلفة والفنانة آية عزيز الحفل، إلى جانب مجموعة من موسيقاها الأصلية التي تتناول الشتات والسلطة والانتماء.

وفي 14 أكتوبر، ينتقل مودي قبلاوي، المدير التقني لـ "تبًّا"، إلى منصة الـDJ باسم DJ Kudy، بمزيج من موسيقى العالم العربي وإنتاجاته الخاصة، من الثمانينيات والديسكو والإلكترو إلى الإيقاعات المعاصرة.
