I need some help from this group of my esteemed colleagues. This is the door to our stateroom on a riverboat currently touring down the Rhône river in France. Why is the middle hinge located so close to the top hinge instead of near the middle of the door? If it makes any difference, our cabin is located on the lower deck which puts the lower half of the cabin below the waterline. Don’t think that makes much difference because I plan on evacuating the cabin if we spring a leak! A technical explanation or other observation is greatly appreciated so I can sleep better tonight.

I bought a new-to-me pair of the same shoes to replace the ones I have owned for at 10 years. I absolutely loved these shoes, but they have become a safety hazard, especially in the rain. Looking forward to the next 10 years with these new ones.

Hello everyone..I was wondering if there are any slug experts in this group… I have this tiny fella on my window and I wanted to ask …why there is no slime trail behind him/her ! Is it him or her ? Is it trying to enter my house and my bananas🍌? Is it normal for it to be almost see through?? So many questions…so little time 😑
