Play for P.I.N.K. is a grassroots organization dedicated to raising funds to fight breast cancer through sporting & lifestyle events.

We contribute 100% of all net proceeds to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation, to fund the world’s top researchers. Play for P.I.N.K.® raises money at over 300 events across 30 states thanks to our 32,000 annual participants. In 2020, $3 million was donated to our sole beneficiary, the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

Today, we honor the memory of Nicholas Lassman, beloved son of Play for P.I.N.K. Founder Laura Lassman, who lost his life on September 11, 2001. Nicholas remains forever in our hearts, and we will never forget him. Today, we also remember and pay tribute to all those who perished on 9/11, holding their families and loved ones in our thoughts.

Meet our September Researcher of the Month, Dr. Joshua LaBaer! His research is focused on understanding what drives aggressive, treatment-resistant triple-negative breast cancers, finding new ways to target them, and developing personalized treatment regimes.

September is BRCA Gene Awareness Month, a time to raise awareness of the BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes and how certain mutations can increase the risk of breast and ovarian cancers. Know your family history and talk with your doctor about whether genetic testing may be right for you!

Summer may be winding down, but our biggest season is just around the corner. Breast Cancer Awareness Month is almost here, and we're looking forward to another October filled with community, education, and support for lifesaving breast cancer research. Stay tuned… There's so much more to come!

We were thrilled to welcome the Old Westbury community to the Play for P.I.N.K. family this year and are so grateful for the incredible energy and support behind this inaugural event.
