FIDF Young Leadership - New York YL-NY offers a diverse range of educational and social activities throughout the year, including parl

FIDF Young Leadership-New York (YL-NY) numbers over 10,000 young professionals ages 21-40 from across the Tri-State region who represent a broad cross section of Jewish observance. YL-NY is governed by a dedicated group of 40 volunteer Board Members, who is responsible for programming outreach activities such as Shabbat Dinners and Parlor Meetings with visiting active duty IDF soldiers. YL-NY also

hosts several fundraising events, such as the annual Purim, Beginning and End of Summer Parties. YL-NY hosts many celebrated events, including the Annual Gala, bringing together over 1,500 young Tri-State area professionals for dancing, live entertainment, delicious food, and casino-style gambling for over $150,000 in luxury prizes! The group also holds an Annual Mission to Israel, bringing over 30 participants from around the US to experience Israel and the IDF from the inside.

FIDF honors, thanks, and supports our Druze heroes. Today, Friday, September 20th, over 11,000 participants gathered in the Lower Galilee to pay tribute to the 442 Druze soldiers who have sacrificed their lives for the State of Israel since the War of Independence, including 12 who have fallen in the current war.

Alongside FIDF, this annual event is organized in collaboration with the Association for Israel’s Soldiers, the Lower Galilee Regional Council, the Israeli Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Culture and Sports, and Druze Beit Yad Labanim.

The Druze community serves in the IDF and succeeds throughout high ranking positions.

A few weeks ago, we returned from our National YL Mission to Israel, where young professionals from across the US united to experience the true meaning of Am Yisrael Chai.

We bore witness to the atrocities of October 7th, met brave soldiers on the frontlines, supported wounded heroes, and paid tribute to our fallen brothers and sisters who sacrificed their lives to protect Israel and the Jewish people worldwide.

While many moments were challenging, we emphasized that while their job is to look after Israel, our job is to look after them🇮🇱
