Preparing for College) has now become the Mentoring and Inspiring for College (MIC) Empowerment Program! We are currently working with 14 students at Landmark High School in Chelsea, NY. Our students come from all over the city: Harlem, Washington Heights, Brooklyn, Chinatown, and Queens. Each of our students is individually matched with their own personal mentor based upon background and career i

nterest. While primarily providing assistance in the college admissions and financial aid process, each of our mentors ultimately aims to provide whatever inspiration, love, and support is needed to empower our students to achieve their dreams for the future! We also offer our students’ informative workshops and assistance in finding summer internships and jobs. We are in the process of establishing weekly academic tutoring services. The MIC Empowerment Program is committed to building a community of support for each one of our students by actively engaging with teachers, parents/guardians and family.

Hello Facebook family! We are happy to announce that we will be having a Fundraiser Tuesday July 8th at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe! We are trying to raise funds for our 13 high school graduates who are going off to college in the Fall! We are also launching our month long online fundraising campaign. Stay tuned for our Indiegogo page! Save the date and join us in raising funds to help our students make their college dreams a reality!

MIC Students are getting ready to finish off their senior year in school. Some schools that are students have accepted to go to are, NYU Poly, SUNY Delhi, Ithaca College, Lehman College, John Jay College to name a few. MIC is so excited to graduate its first cohort!
