The Final Countdown! We are excited to welcome you all to the “New Hope: Sake Tasting and Fundraiser for Ishikawa Brewers” event on Feb 12 at Brooklyn Kura! A world of thanks to the many, many vendors supporting this event.

First and foremost, our fundraiser offers support to the sake Industry in Ishikawa to help rebuild after a devastating earthquake. We, in turn, rely on the support of many generous sake distributors, importers and sake brands who have donated their time and sake to this fundraiser. Our event would not be possible without their loyal support!

In addition to sake, we have an active community of other vendors and suppliers who are enthusiastically supporting this event. We are so grateful to them and all the suppliers, vendors, sponsors and volunteers who are donating their time, goods and services! The line up is incredible! See you there and Kanpai 🍶

The T.I.C. journey of Japanese cuisine and culture begins around East Ninth and Tenth Streets, is expanding uptown, and continues to grow throughout the food fabric of New York City.

We look forward to welcoming Executive Chef Masaru Kajihara of for our fundraiser benefitting Ishikawa breweries who were damaged from the New Years earthquake.

Some of well-known and popular Japanese dishes such as sushi, tempura, and kaiseki (traditional multi-course meals) are not quite every day meals in Japan. More commonly found on everyday dining table is known as “ofukuro no aji,” or taste of mom’s home cooking prepared with fresh ingredients with a high concern for overall nutritious values and balance.

OOTOYA’s specialty is this traditional home cooking in set-meal style, or teishoku. Every day, we are working with our passion to pursuit perfect fusion of fresh ingredients, preparation techniques, and skilled chefs. We are delighted to introduce teishoku as an addition to sushi, tempura, and other Japanese menus currently available in New York. We hope to introduce teishoku to many more people, as we continue improving and expanding.

Join us February 12th from 6-9pm with many special guests for the evening.
