Through striking images of the natural world, this poem bravely reclaims the voice of those rendered powerless by patriarchy and r**e culture. Congratulations to Meghan Proulx for securing a Pushcart Prize for "Light Wash Denim Styles," which was featured in Epiphany's Desire and Dread Issue. In this story, an offhand remark at a party becomes a hilarious journey through Madewell, a retail store that connects generations of homogenous women who, more than anything, just want to be seen.

Thank you to everyone who came out to our open mic and fundraiser last week! Due to your support, we raised $1,044 for Immigrant Defense Project, a NYC-based org that provides legal and community defense resources to those terrorized by ICE.

We were blown away not only by the powerful writing we heard on stage, but the outpouring of support we received for this urgent cause. Sending our eternal gratitude to the night's incredible writers, the good folks at Split Lip Magazine and Eckleburg Review, the lovely team at Starr Bar, and DJ Roselle for an unforgettable DJ set. More events soon!
