Today, at 4:27 in the morning, the winter solstice arrived. The lottery has been ringing since 9:00, and this Sunday is Christmas Eve. It's a day when we celebrate the gradual increase in sunlight each day, and how, even when the days are at their darkest and the night is longest, the light returns.

Our world is currently experiencing a period of darkness, and it seems as if the night is unending, as if dawn is reluctant to arrive. However, throughout the ages, the Master has come to this world to share the message of the Light of Love. That's why at Christmas, we all speak of Peace and Love, or at least, that's what all the TV commercials suggest...

This Christmas, I ask all of you who have felt gratitude for what you've discovered in our courses, in this spiritual family, at the Ashram in NY and in Spain, and through Gururaj's teachings, which we've strived to preserve and make accessible financing an online platform with all videos and audios, to show your gratitude with a Christmas gift. El poder de la tecnología está creciendo a pasos agigantados, pero ¿estamos preparados para el impacto que esto tendrá en nuestra civilización? Max Tegmark del MIT ha señalado que la creación de una inteligencia artificial general puede ser mucho más peligrosa que la tecnología nuclear, lo que nos obliga a reflexionar sobre el futuro de nuestra especie. Tegmark es uno de los principales proponentes de parar el desarrollo de la IA en al menos 6 meses para reflexionar antes. En este contexto, la cultura y las corrientes espirituales tienen un papel fundamental que desempeñar.

La mesa redonda Espiritualidad y Cultura "El Hacer del Ser" busca explorar cómo la cultura y las corrientes espirituales pueden colaborar para ofrecer respuestas y soluciones en una época de incertidumbre y fragmentación social. En una humanidad con el poder que la tecnología pone en sus manos, el ejercicio del poder se verá dotado de herramientas que ahora solo imaginamos. Esto está ocurriendo mientras las sociedades se fragmentan, se radicalizan, y la insatisfacción con el lugar en el que vivimos se va expandiendo en una especie de frustración social animada por el fluir de los acontecimientos.

Las nuevas corrientes filosóficas y las preguntas sobre la Consciencia son algunos de los temas que se abordarán. ¿Es la Consciencia algo computacional que una IA puede reproducir? ¿Dónde reside la Consciencia si no es computacional? La vida es sueño, y los sueños, sueños son, pero: ¿Quién es el soñador? ¿Cómo puede el arte, la literatura y la filosofía colaborar en la tarea de traer luz al mundo de la información y la IA donde la desinformación y la propaganda nos lleva a la post-verdad?

La idea de esta mesa redonda es fomentar un diálogo abierto y colaborativo en el que cada participante aporte su versión de los hechos y se construya un espacio para la reflexión y el aprendizaje conjunto. La tecnología nos está dando un poder como nunca habíamos imaginado, pero ¿cómo podemos utilizarlo de manera responsable y en beneficio de la humanidad?
