✨ At just 15 years old, Aiden Henry graduated from Capital Prep not only with his high school diploma, but also with an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Housatonic Community College.

He went on to attend Morehouse College, where he earned his degree in Sociology ahead of schedule. And now? He's taking the next step on his journey: law school.

Today we celebrate Jania Jones, a 2022 Capital Prep Harlem graduate who simultaneously earned her Associate Degree in Journalism and Communications from Housatonic Community College at the same time as her High School Diploma, and went on to New York University to study Computer Science and Mandarin. She spent a year abroad in Abu Dhabi and completed two summer semesters in Shanghai for language immersion.

But Jania isn't done yet! We're proud to announce she is heading to Virginia State University this Fall to pursue her MBA.

Our 2025–2026 NWEA MAP and DIBELS data show meaningful schoolwide gains in both ELA and Math

✅ Grades 9, 11, and 12 exceeded ELA proficiency goal benchmarks
✅ Our Kindergarten cohort increased literacy proficiency by 45 percentage points from Fall to Spring

These results don't happen by chance. They are the product of intentional instruction, targeted interventions, data-driven decision-making, and a relentless commitment to scholar success.

At Capital Prep Harbor, we welcome scholars at every grade level and at every stage of their academic journey. Many arrive performing below grade level, but through a proven college preparatory model, we help scholars grow, achieve, and prepare for success in college and beyond.

Every scholar deserves access to a safe, supportive, and high-quality education that prepares them for college, careers, and life beyond the classroom.

As conversations around educational opportunity continue nationwide, Capital Prep remains committed to ensuring scholars and families not only in NYC and Connecticut, but across the country have access to learning environments where they are seen, supported, and empowered to thrive. The Opportunity Knocks scholarship program from Yass Prize, our longtime partner in education equality and equity, was created in response to the closure of 17 public schools in Philadelphia, which has impacted more than 4,000 students across the city.

The scholarship provides an opportunity for 500 Philadelphia-based scholars to receive $8000 annually to help provide them access to academic excellence at high-quality private schools within the Philadelphia Yass Prize alumni network. We are encouraging families affected by the school closure to learn more and apply at OpportunityKnocksPhilly.org or OKPhilly.org.

HUGE news for our future Capital Prep New Rochelle Panthers! 🐾

Capital Prep New Rochelle has officially announced its future home at 24 Shea Pl., as we prepare to welcome our inaugural class in Fall 2026!

We’re also proud to share that Capital Prep New Rochelle has been awarded a $2 million grant through the New York State Education Department’s Charter School Program Planning and Implementation Fund to support our launch and help bring high-quality, college preparatory, and social justice-focused education to the New Rochelle community.

These exciting milestones mark the growth of a vibrant new community where scholars, families, and educators will come together to learn, grow, and thrive. ❤️🖤
