GSV Molly, our Government Relations Associate at the National Advocacy Center, attended the March on Washington: Defend the Vote event in D.C. and wrote a powerful reflection on what she witnessed, from national leaders speaking to a community showing up for democracy.

Her takeaway: “Across the diverse issues that they fight for, they were moved to be present because they care. It reminded me that I belong right where I am.”

Meet our Philadelphia crew, serving at CORA!

CORA’s mission is to empower children, young people, and families to thrive through quality and compassionate service. CORA provides comprehensive professional services to over 20,000 children and young people annually.

This year, Isabel, Ula, and Claudio will be our GSVs serving in Philadelphia, each bringing their own strengths to CORA’s work with students and families.

Before diving into the school year, they spent last week at Camino Farms for their fall retreat, reflecting on their call to service and building community together.

Here’s to a meaningful year ahead in Philly 💙🐑

Rounding out the 2026–2027 cohort, meet Ula Nguyen!

Ula (she/her) studied Data Science & Criminology at Stonehill College, and she is originally from Vietnam. She’ll be serving in Philadelphia with CORA as a Youth Support and Data Specialist. She’s excited about the work itself, exploring the city (especially its parks and the Rail Park), and walking/commuting to her placement. 

Her go‑to drink is an iced matcha, and if she could have an unlimited supply of anything, it would be hotpot. Ula is drawn to future work in Higher Education, especially Student Engagement and Intercultural Affairs. 

If she could be any animal, Ula would choose a cat for its flexibility, calm vibe, and ability to sunbathe all day.

We’re so excited to welcome Ula to the GSV community!
