Collateral Repair Project - Building a Resilient Community

CRP operates in Amman (Jordan) providing emergency assistance and community programs for refugees and vulnerable Jordanians.

Collateral Repair Project (CRP) is a grassroots refugee aid organization located in East Amman, a neighborhood home to a growing number of urban refugees from Syria and Iraq. Our bifold programming focuses on providing emergency assistance and community building workshops. Monthly food vouchers, medical support, fuel, and clothing are among the many services covered through our emergency assistance program. Likewise, our community center in Hashemi Shamali is home to several support groups for teens and adults, as well as English classes, a women's craft co-op, yoga classes, and more.

Photos from the graduation of our Foundations for the Future: English and Math Tutoring in East Amman program.
Made possible through the generous support of the Virginia Wellington Cabot Foundation (VWCF), this program equipped children with stronger English and mathematics skills while fostering confidence, curiosity, and meaningful friendships in a safe and supportive learning environment.
We are grateful to VWCF for their continued partnership and commitment to expanding educational opportunities for children from all communities. Congratulations to all of our graduates, and thank you to our dedicated teachers, volunteers, and families who helped make this program a success.

لقطات من حفل تخريج برنامج "أساسات للمستقبل: دروس تقوية في اللغة الإنجليزية والرياضيات في شرق عمّان".
بفضل الدعم الكريم من مؤسسة فيرجينيا ويلينغتون كابوت (VWCF)، احتفل طلابنا بتخرجهم بعد أشهر من التعلّم والاجتهاد. خلال البرنامج، قدروا يطوّروا مهاراتهم في اللغة الإنجليزية والرياضيات، ويبنوا ثقتهم بنفسهم، ويكوّنوا صداقات جديدة في بيئة آمنة وداعمة.

Voice has the power to preserve culture and bring communities together.

Over the course of three months, our Voice Training Program brought together girls and boys aged 9–13 from diverse backgrounds to develop their vocal skills, explore Maqams (musical modes), and perform as one harmonious choir. Participants learned to sing with confidence while celebrating the rich musical heritage of Iraq, Syria, Jordan, and the wider region through traditional songs.

الصوت إله قدرة يحافظ على تراثنا ويجمع الناس مع بعض.

على مدار ثلاثة أشهر، جمع برنامج تدريب الصوت بنات وشباب من عمر 9 إلى 13 سنة من جنسيات مختلفة، حتى يطوروا مهاراتهم بالغناء، ويتعرفوا على المقامات الموسيقية، ويتعلموا كيف يغنّوا مع بعض بتناغم كفرقة واحدة. وخلال البرنامج، غنّى المشاركون أغاني تراثية من الأردن وسوريا والعراق، وغيرها من أغاني المنطقة، احتفاءً بتراثنا الموسيقي الغني وتعزيزًا لثقتهم بأنفسهم من خلال الغناء.

We’re delighted to share moments from the graduation ceremony of our Early Childhood Education Program at our Hashemi Al Shamali Community Center. Last week, we celebrated our young learners as they reached an important milestone and took their first steps towards a bright future.

We were honored to celebrate alongside our partners at Al Tamimi & Co., whose continued support has helped maintain a safe, nurturing, and inspiring learning environment for our children. A heartfelt thank you to for supporting early childhood education and helping make this program possible.

بيسعدنا نشارككم لحظات من حفل تخريج أطفال برنامج التعليم المبكر في مركز الهاشمي الشمالي.

الأسبوع الماضي احتفلنا بأطفالنا وهم بيوصلوا لهاي اللحظة الحلوة، وببداية رحلة جديدة مليانة تعلّم واكتشاف.

وكان إلنا الشرف نحتفل مع شركائنا في التميمي ومشاركوه، اللي بدعمهم المستمر ساهموا بتوفير بيئة آمنة وداعمة، بتساعد أطفالنا يتعلموا ويكبروا بثقة.

شكرًا للتميمي ومشاركوه على دعمهم للتعليم المبكر، وعلى مساهمتهم في إنجاح هذا البرنامج. شراكتكم بتصنع فرق حقيقي، وبتمنح أطفال مجتمعنا فرصًا أفضل للتعلّم والنمو.

Last week, we celebrated the graduation of 10 cohorts from our Home Maintenance Program, recognizing the achievements of nearly 171 beneficiaries, with almost 100 people attending the ceremony. The program is supported by the Drosos Foundation as part of a three-and-a-half-year initiative.

Over the course of one month, participants completed a comprehensive theoretical training program that combined technical, personal, and life skills to prepare them for the job market and build their confidence.

The program included hands-on training in electrical work, plumbing, which was introduced in the latest training cycle, and painting, as well as sessions on first aid, civil defense, entrepreneurship, social integration, and communication and adaptation across different nationalities and cultural backgrounds. Participants also received training on refugee workers' rights in collaboration with the Justice Center, which was also introduced in the latest training cycle.

After completing the theoretical training, participants moved on to practical training at CRP before applying their skills by carrying out home maintenance projects for community members, gaining valuable real-world experience along the way.

Congratulations to all of our graduates on this achievement. Our sincere thanks to the Drosos Foundation for its continued support of this program and to everyone who contributed to making it a success.

الأسبوع الماضي، احتفلنا بتخريج 10 أفواج من برنامج صيانة المنازل، واللي استفاد منه حوالي 171 مشارك، بحضور قرابة 100 شخص في حفل التخريج.

على مدار شهر، شارك المتدربون في برنامج تدريبي جمع بين المهارات المهنية والحياتية، وشمل تدريبًا على أعمال الكهرباء، والسباكة اللي انضافت بآخر دورة تدريبية، والدهان، إلى جانب الإسعافات الأولية، والدفاع المدني، وريادة الأعمال، والاندماج الاجتماعي، ومهارات التواصل، بالإضافة إلى تدريب حول حقوق العمال اللاجئين بالتعاون مع مركز العدالة، واللي انضاف أيضًا بآخر دورة تدريبية.

بعدها انتقل المشاركون للتدريب العملي في مشروع الترميم التعاوني، وطبقوا مهاراتهم من خلال تنفيذ أعمال صيانة منازل لأفراد من المجتمع، واكتسبوا خبرة عملية حقيقية.

More than a training program, Hello Future is an interactive learning experience where young people build essential digital and entrepreneurial skills, strengthen their creativity, develop critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, and turn their ideas into real projects. Through teamwork, hands-on activities, and exciting challenges, participants gain confidence and prepare for a future full of opportunity.

In May, we were honored to welcome H.E. Ms. Paula Ganly, Australian Ambassador, to CRP for the Hope Kitchen: Nourishing Futures Project Graduation Ceremony and the opening of our newly relocated and expanded Hope Kitchen.

Over the past three years, the generous support of the Australian Embassy Jordan has helped empower refugee women through initiatives including Hope Kitchen: Nourishing Futures, Sister Streams: Empowering Women in Plumbing and Sustainable Solutions, and Health Caregiving Vocational & Skills Training.

Hope Kitchen is more than a kitchen. It is a space where women gain skills, build confidence, create opportunities, and strengthen their independence. Our new ground floor location improves accessibility and inclusion while expanding the program through healthy snacks and coffee offerings for the CRP programs of the community center in Hashemi that help support its long term sustainability.

Congratulations to all of our graduates on this incredible achievement. Your dedication and resilience continue to inspire us.

في شهر أيار، تشرفنا باستقبال سعادة السيدة بولا غانلي، سفيرة أستراليا لدى الأردن، في مركز CRP، لحضور حفل تخريج مشروع "مطبخ الأمل: نغذي المستقبل" وافتتاح المقر الجديد والموسّع لـ مطبخ الأمل.

على مدار السنوات الثلاث الماضية، ساهم الدعم الكريم من السفارة الأسترالية في الأردن في تمكين النساء اللاجئات من خلال مجموعة من المبادرات، من أبرزها: مطبخ الأمل: نغذي المستقبل، وتمكين النساء في مجال السباكة والحلول المستدامة، وبرنامج التدريب المهني وتنمية المهارات في مجال الرعاية الصحية.

مطبخ الأمل ليس مجرد مطبخ، بل هو مساحة تمنح النساء فرصة لاكتساب المهارات، وتعزيز الثقة بالنفس، وخلق فرص جديدة، وبناء مستقبل أكثر استقلالية. كما يوفّر مقره الجديد في الطابق الأرضي بيئة أكثر سهولة في الوصول وأكثر شمولًا، إلى جانب توسيع أنشطته من خلال تقديم وجبات خفيفة صحية وقهوة لبرامج المركز المجتمعي في الهاشمي الشمالي، بما يسهم في دعم استدامة البرنامج على المدى الطويل.
