Ballet and Beyond NYC Breaking barriers to classical ballet training. Thank you for breaking the barriers to ballet and professional dance.

In our inaugural summer program we are directing the dance portion of a seven-week performing arts summer camp for 75 children ages 8 – 13. Your donation to Ballet and Beyond NYC will fund approximately 330 hours of professional dance instruction, with an emphasis on ballet and Horton modern technique; installation of a professional dance studio; live musical accompaniment; and dance attire.

Our 85+ R.Y.S.E. Conservatory students, all attending on full scholarship, are challenged every day in ballet, modern dance, hip hop, voice, acting, music theory, film studies and musical theater dance. Together each afternoon we build the script, songs, and choreography for our culminating performances. To supplement our teaching, we take field trips to see the best of NYC professional dance and theater. We love it when a student tells us she can’t return next year ... because she was accepted to the public performing arts Louis Armstrong Middle School in Queens! An important part of our mission is helping our students get to the next place, wherever that is for them. Thank you to Nicole Kadar for leading our strong ballet afterschool program at PS 17Q!
