CosplayNYC, Inc.

promotes the power of cosplay (costume playing) for youths as an IRS 501(c)(3) public charity under status 170(b)(1)(A)(vi). CosplayNYC Inc is the premier nonprofit benefitting members of the cosplay community like no organization before. Funds raised will go towards helping underprivileged youth to enjoy many activities such as conventions with their parents/guardians and cosplaying. The new generations need the ability to enjoy what the rest of the community already does.

Long Island Cherry Blossom Festival - Sakura Matsuri is this Sunday and we're looking for cosplayers for our annual Cosplay Fashion Show! The cosplays don't need to be made by the cosplayers. We want to show the audience examples of cosplay with anime/manga characters.

It's simple. Miss Cheng will announce your preferred name, any social media names, character and fandom. Then you'll walk on stage, make a few poses for pictures, and walk off. Then return for group photos.

This will be in the theater and we'll have a band perform prior to it with them, hopefully, providing instrumental music as background for us when their set is done.

We'll have sign-ups starting at 12pm when Sakura Matsuri begins.

Howdy yall! Big shout out to Miss Cheng for being the host again for Long Island Cherry Blossom Festival - Sakura Matsuri's Cosplay Fashion Show and tabling with me to rep CosplayNYC Magazine. Also shout out to Uke Li, Joshua Adams and the rest of Cosplayer Nation for granting me permission to make a 30ish minute version of their documentary to show today. The crowd loved it and many of the cosplayers had great reactions. We had 12 cosplayers for the show and all had fun posing during it then coming back on stage after for parents and others to get pics. Another Stony Brook University Sakura Matsuri in the books.
