Last week, about 125 New York homeowners came to the Protect Our Homes: Bronx Homeowner Help Clinic, which we hosted with New York State Attorney General .

Housing counselors and lawyers from Homeowner Protection Program (HOPP) Network and other nonprofits met one-on-one with homeowners about their mortgages and foreclosure questions. City agencies were also there to help with property taxes and scam protection, all for free.

Falling behind on your mortgage or being targeted by a scam can happen to anyone. As our CEO Christie Peale told Gothamist, the sooner you reach out, the more we can do.

But even if you’re already in trouble, we’re here to help you too.
