Silver Shield Foundation We aim to preserve the hopes, dreams and future that police officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty had for their children.

We are charged with the responsibility of preserving the hopes, dreams and future that police officers and firefighters killed in the line of duty had for their children. Our work and your contribution is an investment in the lives of these children whose mother or father heroically and selflessly made the supreme sacrifice, laying down their own life to save another. Let’s make sure their sacrifice will never be forgotten. Your generosity enables the Silver Shield Foundation to carry out its mission of helping these children achieve a brighter tomorrow. After all, it’s the least we can do for their future.

Ryan, Jonah, and Eli met freshman year at Tulane University and have been close friends ever since. During college, they shared a passion for giving back to our community. Since graduating they’re looking to continue that commitment by running the NYC Marathon for the Silver Shield Foundation. Having experienced firsthand the opportunities that education can provide, they want to help ensure that families who have lost a loved one in the line of duty have access to those same opportunities. Through fundraising and participation, they hope to honor these heroes while helping create brighter futures for the families they leave behind.
