Access Queens Access Queens - Advocating for better transportation and infrastructure in Queens, NYC.

AccessQueens is a coalition of local residents committed to sustaining vibrant, diverse communities. We know that the success and economic stability of our communities and our borough, depends on access to appropriate infrastructure that supports and enables Queens to thrive. As infrastructure goes hand in hand with responsible development, and as Queens continues to grow, we will advocate for the

needs of our borough. We believe in the power of partnerships to create change through:
+ Grassroots organizing
+ Partnerships with public and transit agencies
+ Creating coalitions with elected officials

In Memoriam - Cathy Nolan

We are deeply saddened today by the passing of former Assembly Member Cathy Nolan. Cathy devoted her life to the residents of District 37, supporting workers rights, raising the minimum wage, as well as championing women’s rights and being a mentor for so many women.

Personally, I had the privilege of working with Cathy on transit and infrastructure issues, through Access Queens. She was supportive and open to our ideas and was a true champion for Queens.

She will be missed, but her legacy not forgotten.

My thoughts go out to her husband, Gerry and her son, Nick, as well as to all those who loved her.

May she rest in peace.
