For thousands of Israel’s wounded warriors and their families, this is more than a rehabilitation center. It is a place to rebuild a life.

As Israel’s fifth Beit Halochem center begins this new chapter, we are proud to stand beside every wounded warrior throughout their lifelong journey of recovery.

If you've never heard of padel, think of it as a cross between pickleball and tennis. It's one of Israel's fastest-growing sports and for many of the warriors at Beit Halochem Ashdod, it's become much more than a game.

What began as a local initiative quickly grew into a thriving program, inspiring interest across Beit Halochem centers throughout Israel.

Over 33 weekly sessions, participants came together on the courts to build strength, confidence, and community.

For many of Israel's wounded warriors, stepping onto the padel court wasn't just about playing a new sport, it was the first time they had returned to athletics since their injury.

Every serve, every rally, and every match represented something greater than the game. It marked another step forward on the lifelong journey of healing, recovery, and reclaiming life.

A historic step forward for Israel's wounded warriors. 🇮🇱

This week, the Israeli government approved one of the most significant reforms to Israel's rehabilitation system in decades, expanding access to care, improving mental health services, and increasing support for wounded warriors and their families.

This milestone reflects years of advocacy by Beit Halochem and the Zahal Disabled Veterans Organization, but our work is far from over.

Through our “Rehabilitation in Motion: By Sea, Air, and Land” program, our warriors took on new challenges at HOOPA Extreme Park, pushing past their limits through bungee jumping, zip lines, and high-rope obstacles.

More than an adventure, this experience was about rebuilding confidence, overcoming fears, and discovering the strength within.

At this year's Sports Scholarship Ceremony at Beit Halochem Tel Aviv, 89 sports scholarships totaling more than $155,000, were awarded to athletes and coaches from Beit Halochem centers across Israel.

1,000 Days Since October 7

One thousand days ago, Israel was forever changed.

While the headlines have faded, the journey of Israel's wounded warriors continues.

Today, more than 26,200 wounded warriors are rebuilding their lives, recovering from physical injuries, overcoming invisible wounds, strengthening their families, and rediscovering purpose. Nearly 65% are living with psychological injuries, including PTSD, anxiety, and depression.

These aren't just statistics.

They are parents.
They are sons and daughters.
They are friends and neighbors.
They are Israel's protectors.

Yael Survived the War. The Hardest Battle Came After.

At 42, Yael had already given so much to her country. But after being wounded in service, the battle didn’t end when she came home.

The physical injuries were only part of it. The trauma, the sleepless nights, the fear, and the weight of trying to be present for her family while carrying so much pain became a battle of their own.

Through Beit Halochem’s trauma and mental health programs, Yael found a path forward, therapy, support, and a community that understood what she was carrying.

David didn't dream of running a marathon.

He just wanted to play with his children again.

After being wounded in service, even the simplest moments felt out of reach. Through physical therapy at Beit Halochem, David began rebuilding his strength, reclaiming his independence, and returning to the people who needed him most.

Today, he's back on the playground.

Playing.

Laughing.

Being Dad again.
