Tony Bennett sketched or painted hundreds of scenes in Central Park during his life. His identity as a painter was entwined with the park, which he said nourished his creativity and was his antidote to urbanity. "I always paint nature," Bennett, who died on Friday, said in 2015. Today our friends celebrated the park’s 10th anniversary 🎊 And this month also marks the 6th anniversary of our ‘Love Me, Love Me Not’ mural!

Painted in 2016 by for .earth’s first activation, the mural depicts a moment reflecting on humanity’s relationship with nature as the climate crisis worsens.

Next time you visit keep an eye out for our poster for details on how you can help us plant 500 trees by sharing your picture of the mural 🌳

World Environment Day is tomorrow 05June || pre-pandemic was the last time we lit up our beloved GreenPoint water tower in green for climate action, our lights are still there and so is our unwavering commitment to tackling climate change through the power of art and technology to inspire positive change 💚 ||   was the slogan for the 1972 Stockholm Conference; 50 years on, this truth still holds – this planet is our only home 🌍. With nature in emergency mode, we need collective environmental action.

Our future relies on our forests 🌳

Did you know that forests are home to:
🌳60,000 different tree species
🦎80% of amphibian species
🦅75% of bird species
🦒68% of the world's mammal species
Yet 10 million hectares are still being lost each year due to deforestation and degradation!

Today on we're reminded of how important forests are to our planets survival. Now is our chance to act and protect the we depend on.

Endangered species day reminds us all that some of our favorite creatures could disappear from our planet forever 😢

Did you know that today there are more than 40,000 species that are threatened with extinction? 😲 Among them are iconic creatures such as the bald eagle, the orangutan, and the gray wolf.

Today's 🟢 Green Point 🟢 features Brooklyn-based Upward Farms, who are building the largest vertical farm in the world — that will sprout local greens for the whole of New York City! 🌱 Not only are their facilities climate-resilient, but they also reduce water and land use by 95%.

The new facility being constructed in Pennsylvania will:
😲 measure around 250,000 square feet (about 6 acres and 2 Manhattan city blocks)
🌊 conserve more than 100 million gallons of water
🌍 conserve more than 120 acres of land on an annual basis
🚉 eliminate 1.7 million food transportation miles per year
