Eastern Kentucky University - Upperclass Academy Intern

Description
EKU is initiating a new program to help with the retention and success of its upper-class diverse students. The program primarily works on equipping and providing life skills resources for its junior and senior students as they graduate and seek for opportunities within and outside of EKU. As a new initiative, the intern will help with researching similar programs at peer and non-peer institutions, development of program website and creation of flyers used to advertise the program. The intern will also help with the marketing of the program. It is essential that applicants have good work ethics, excellent communication skills, demonstrate creativity, and understand the importance of attending to details.

Responsibilities
• Research and gather information on similar programs at other universities
• Schedule and coordinate workshop events
• Assist with mailings
• Develop website
• Compile contact lists
• Create promotional flyers
• Market program

Requirements
Students applying for this internship must have strong communication and writing skills as well as a solid understanding of social media. Students majoring in Arts and Design preferred. Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or Journalism. Applicants should also have strong writing skills.

This is a non-paid internship position.

You've got today and tomorrow left to submit your work for the Rebirth Exhibition! If you would like to drop your money off in person, we will have a table set up in Campbell Lobby today and tomorrow from 8-5. You can find the submission form at art.eku.edu and you can contact any of the exec members with any of your questions.

We're on the last few days of submissions for Rebirth! Have you submitted your work yet? You've only got three days left to head to art.eku.edu and fill out the submission form for the gallery exhibition!

All this week, we will be accepting submissions for the Rebirth exhibition at a discounted rate of $10 for 3 pieces. Every individual piece after that will remain at $10.
