Our Mission

CHCC seeks to provide a nurturing and safe environment for educational and counseling programs that aim to empower, educate and encourage community members of all ages, gender and cultural backgrounds, creating an identity of wholeness by fully connecting and embracing the community in which they live. With these tools, program participants will not only thrive in their individual and family lives, but also affect positively the communities in which they live and grow.

CHCC houses the W.A.N.T.E.D. Project– United States and Africa; a young men’s mentoring program equipping generations of young men of color to understand they are cared for, valued, and have the right to be protected and safe. We tell them they are Worthy, Accountable, Named, Thankful, Empowered and Determined! The W.A.N.T.E.D. Project – Ghana is housed in the Senior Correctional Facility in Roman Ridge, Ghana, W. Africa.

CHCC is partnering with Valley Stream Presbyterian Church (VSPC) and will be adding to its programming the “Ghana Orphanages Program” this year. Fundraising proceeds will go to Echoing Hills Village in Madina; a home for youth with special needs and The Potters Village in Dodowa, West Africa.
