Posh Pets Rescue What Makes a Pet Posh? Every animal deserves love. We believe that every pet, no matter the breed, Our adoption range is 2-3 hours within New York City.

Our foster homes are within 1-2 hours of New York City. ADOPTION PROCESS:
If you think a dog or cat we have in rescue, could be the right fit for your family, you first need to submit an adoption application (which can be downloaded on our website: https://poshpetsrescueny.org

If contacted by one of our Adoption C

ounselors after we have gone thru our process and invited to meet an animal we then scheduled then every person currently living in the household full-time, will have to be present for the meet-and-greet, as well as your dogs. (With cats, the process varies.) During the meet-and-greet, you get to spend time with the pet and see if he or she is really what you hoped for. If we feel it's the right match in person then the adoption can be finalized. Please note that the final decision is made by us after meeting in person.

Meet Maxine, an adorable gray tabby girl just over 2 months. She’s super mushy and lovey dovey!
This little lovebug is super sweet and affectionate. She’ll tap your face with her tiny paw and even give you little kisses! When she’s not busy melting hearts, she’s all about kitten fun: playing, exploring, curious, and keeping everyone entertained.
Maxine is the perfect mix of cuddly and playful and would love a feline friend to grow up and have fun with so she must be adopted with one of her siblings or into a home with another young, playful cat.

🎾💦 It’s Amaya!

She’s a stunning 2-year-old German Shepherd with a heart as big as her love for adventure. At about 50 pounds, she’s everything you’d hope for in a Shepherd: smart, athletic, playful, and always ready for the next game of fetch. If there’s a tennis ball nearby, consider it officially hers.

Water is Amaya’s happy place. Kiddie pool? She’s in. Garden hose? She’s chasing every splash. Water bowl? Don’t be surprised if it turns into its own little splash zone. If it involves getting wet, Amaya is all in.

She plays with other dogs and would thrive in an active home where she can run, play, explore, and share life’s adventures with her people. When the fun winds down, she’s just as happy leaning in for hugs!

🌟 A HUGE shout-out to the amazing Dennis Silvio Landscaping! 🌟
When we asked for help clearing the weeds from our dogs’ yard at the Long Beach Animal Shelter, Dennis’s daughter, Marisa, immediately reached out to her family—and within two days, they were there making it happen! 🐾💚
Thanks to their kindness and generosity, our shelter dogs have a clean, welcoming space to enjoy. We are so grateful for wonderful people who step up for our animals and support the community !

🧶🩷 Meet Sasha 🧶🩷

An adorable 5-month-old calico kitten who is as sweet as they come! She is friendly, loving, snuggly and affectionate. She happily soaks up your attention and will cuddle in your arms or curl up in your lap. Sasha loves to follow you around like a little puppy. 
Sasha is also a playful and fun loving gal. But she does love spending time with her people the most. Sasha would enjoy a home with another cat to pal around with, but she could also thrive as a solo kitty in a home where someone has plenty of time to play with her and shower her with love and attention. Sasha could perhaps live with a calm dog too. 
If you’re looking for a playful, affectionate kitten who will grow into a devoted companion, this sweet girl is ready to steal your heart.

She’s easygoing, independent, and happy to relax by your side or greet you when you get home. She also has a playful side and loves a good burst of zoomies!
