Meet Luigi, a 4 to 5 year old sweet guy who was found living on the streets, but is now safe and sound in our care.

He is very gentle and loves being around people. He craves human attention and will happily sit right on your shoulder to keep you company.

Luigi prefers to be the center of your world and would do best as the only pet for now (though he might tolerate a calm cat down the road with very slow introduction).

He is currently located in Westchester, NY, and is more than ready to find a family to spoil him.

🎶 And I’d give up forever to touch you… 🎶

Walking past Marley’s kennel is extremely upsetting. She is typically panting, barking, jumping, or seemingly unable to settle. This is called kennel stress. We hope you’ll keep reading.

Marley is not showing you who she is.

She is showing you what 8 months in a shelter feels like.

Rottweilers are deeply devoted dogs. They don’t just love their people, they anchor themselves to them. They thrive on routine, connection, and knowing where they belong. When that world disappears, many don’t shut down. They unravel.

Outside of the shelter, Marley is a completely different dog. She’s a 5-year-old purebred Rottweiler who loves her people with her whole heart. She walks beautifully on leash, enjoys her toys, and is happiest simply being close to the humans she loves. She’s the kind of dog who wants to be your shadow, your companion, your best friend.

But every day she spends in a kennel chips away a little more at her spirit.

Marley didn’t choose this life. She didn’t choose to grow older in a shelter. She didn’t choose to spend month after month wondering why no one picks her.

What Marley needs isn’t another day in a kennel. She needs someone to finally see the dog behind the stress.

She needs a home. ❤️

Can we all agree on how adorable Tapa is? This 4 year old Maltese mix is just a wee 7 pounds and just the loveliest little munchkin we have at Posh! Tapa loves her walks and meeting new people; but truth be told she is perfectly content just sitting in someone’s lap. Our darling pups are growing and we are asking for supplies to keep them healthy and happy! We also rescued a lot of dogs from our friends at the Animal Care Centers of NYC recently and need yummy food for the adults as well in addition to cleaning products.

Today, we are remembering a very special member of the Posh Pets Rescue family—Chichi.
Chichi was one of our lucky rescue dogs who found a loving forever home through Posh Pets Rescue. The bond between Chichi and her adopter was one filled with unconditional love, proving once again how deeply rescue animals touch our lives.
Before passing away, Chichi's adopter made the incredibly generous decision to remember Posh Pets Rescue in her will. Her final gift will help us continue saving homeless, neglected, and abandoned animals and give dogs like Chichi a chance also
To honor that extraordinary kindness and the love she shared with Chichi, we will be dedicating one of our shelter kennels as "Chichi's Kennel." We hope every dog who stays there will be one step closer to finding the same love and happiness that Chichi found.
Legacies aren't measured by what we leave behind—they're measured by the lives we change. Because of one compassionate adopter and one very special rescue dog, countless animals will have a brighter future.
Thank you for believing in rescue. Your love for Chichi will continue to live on through every life we save.

Sweet, curious, and full of charm, Lucy is sure to bring endless joy and entertainment to her forever home. 🏠

Lucy must go to a home with another young playful cat to keep her company, or she can be adopted with one of her siblings for the perfect lifelong friendship 💕
