CPWF aims to educate and raise awareness about the illegal exploitation of oceanic ecosystems and marine species, while also establishing an international anti-poaching entity to enforce conservation laws and treaties. CPWF will operate in alignment with the United Nations World Charter for Nature, and promote education through various media forms. Collaborations with governments, environmentalists, and conservationists will be sought to combat threats like illegal fishing and poaching. CPWF will allocate funds of their efforts to scientific research and awareness campaigns, and to educational initiatives through partnerships, such as with the Church of Biocentrism. The organization's mission is to address critical issues affecting oceans and marine life, including biodiversity loss, phytoplankton decline, illegal fishing, climate change impacts, plastic pollution, noise pollution, ocean acidification, sea turtle and seabird protection, safeguarding endangered species, and preserving global coral reefs.

Today we celebrate 3 Years of Captain Paul Watson Foundation Spain 🇪🇸 💙

Three years of passion.
Three years of action.
Three years of defending the ocean.

Since their inception, CPWF Spain has become a powerful force for marine conservation, removing over 400kg of trash from our coastlines, supporting the global fight to free Paul Watson, standing behind the Empty The Tanks movement, and showing up time and time again for the oceans and marine life.

But beyond the numbers, what truly makes this team special is their heart. The dedication. The energy. The unwavering commitment to creating change.

The ocean is stronger because of you. 🌍🐋

Happy 3rd Anniversary CPWF Spain.
Here’s to many more years of action, courage and defending the deep.

💔Trump Has Sentenced the Rice's Whale to EXTINCTION! But WE Can Stop This!

1. A panel known as the “God Squad,” or THE COMMITTEE FOR ENDANGERED SPECIES, voted to exempt oil and gas drilling in the Gulf of Mexico from the Endangered Species Act. REMOVING PROTECTIONS for ENDANGERED SPECIES. (So environmental lawsuits could not delay new drilling projects.)

2. The administration also approved BP’s new $5 billion ultra-deepwater drilling project in the Gulf of Mexico.

3.Just days later, officials announced a review of whether the CRITICALLY ENDANGERED Rice’s whale should even remain protected under the law.

Unfortunately for big oil and gas, critically endangered Rice’s whales only exist in the Gulf of Mexico. Fewer than 100 are believed to remain alive. The very committee meant to protect them is sentencing them to EXTINCTION, for profits.

✊We cannot stay silent while one of the rarest whales on Earth is sacrificed for drilling.

SAVE THE RICE'S WHALE!! Take action today >

🚨The Horrors of Human Encounters for Marine Life 💔

Can humans truly co-exist with wildlife in the natural world?

This week alone, we witnessed two horrifying incidents involving humans and marine life.

In one, a man was filmed hurling a huge rock at an innocent monk seal resting peacefully in its natural habitat. A completely intentional act of violence against a defenseless wild animal.

In another, a jet ski collided with a whale as the whale surfaced for air. While unintentional, it was still an avoidable incident that caused unnecessary harm to a peaceful animal simply trying to exist in its own ocean home.

We need to do better.

Thankfully, the Hawaiian community is holding the man accountable. It is illegal to injure a monk seal, one of the rarest marine mammals on Earth.

But we also need to ask harder questions.

Why are high-speed jet skis operating in areas where whales are present? Why are humans constantly allowed deeper and deeper into critical wildlife habitats, while the animals are expected to suffer the consequences?

The ocean is not ours to dominate.
Wildlife should not have to survive us.

Humanity must learn respect, restraint, and coexistence before more innocent lives are harmed.

Happy 100th Birthday Sir David Attenborough. 🌍💙

100 years on our ocean planet.
A life dedicated to educating and inspiring the world about our blue planet.

“The ocean can bounce back to life. If left alone, it may not just recover, but thrive beyond anything anyone alive has ever seen.”

Today we celebrate the incredible impact your life has had on humanity, wildlife, and the oceans. May we all strive to leave a positive impact on this planet, just as you have for generations.

💙 Happy 100th Birthday Sir David Attenborough 💙
A century of curiosity, humility, wisdom, and tireless devotion to the natural world.

He has taught generations to love it, protect it, and understand that we are part of it. From the deepest oceans to the highest forests, his voice became the soundtrack of Earth itself. In a world that often moves too fast, David Attenborough reminded us to stop, look closer, and care.

“If we save the sea, we save our world.” 🌊

At 100 years old, he remains one of humanity’s greatest storytellers and one of nature’s greatest defenders.
Happy 100th birthday, Sir David Attenborough.
Thank you for helping the world fall in love with our blue planet. 🌍

🚨 Iceland's Worst Businessman, Wants to Kill Whales Again. 🚨

Once again, Kristján Loftsson is threatening to resume whaling.

In 2024, he was granted a five-year license and an outrageous quota allowing the killing of up to 426 whales per year. Yet despite this approval, Loftsson himself canceled the season, citing poor market conditions and weak pricing. Even by his own standards, whaling was bad business.

This year, the quota has been reduced by 25%. But if 2025 wasn’t profitable, 2026 certainly won’t be. The industry is collapsing under its own weight.

The world has moved on. Commercial whaling is no longer economically viable, nor is it morally defensible. And yet Iceland an advanced, forward-thinking nation continues to legally permit the slaughter of whales for a shrinking and increasingly irrelevant market.

❤️‍🔥🚨Captain Paul Watson Direct Action in Antarctica Leads To EU Parliament Call for 5 Year Suspension on Krill Fishing🚨❤️‍🔥

For the first time in history, the Captain Paul Watson Foundation took direct action in Antarctica to confront krill trawlers head-on.

We didn’t wait.
We didn’t debate.
We didn't just take photos.
We ACTED! ✊

On the frontlines of one of the most remote and dangerous places on Earth, we put ourselves in harm’s way to defend the foundation of Antarctic life.

Weeks later, the world responded.

On 29 April, the European Parliament proposed a five-year moratorium on krill fisheries in the Southern Ocean.

Lawmakers raised alarm over the rapid expansion of industrial krill fishing, and the growing threat it poses to one of the most fragile ecosystems on Earth.

This is exactly why we acted.

While governments delay, ecosystems collapse. This vote signals a shift: the current path is unsustainable. Precaution must come before exploitation.

Krill is not a commodity it is the foundation of life in Antarctica.
Whales, seals and penguins all rely on krill to survive.

Remove krill… and everything begins to fall apart.

We welcome this moratorium as a critical step.
But it is not enough. It must lead to a permanent end to industrial krill fishing.

We helped end whaling in Antarctica.
And we will END krill trawling in this fragile region.

All DIRECT ACTION in Antarctica was bravely carried out by The Captain Paul Watson Foundation and our fearless crew, in collaboration with Sea Shepherd France 💪🔥

🚨When Governments Fail To Act, We, The People Must!

Timmy, the whale which was left to die on a sandbar in Poele is now on its way to the Atlantic. 🐋

The whale was stranded. Time was critical. Help was possible!

But instead of action, there was delay. Meetings. Assessments. Waiting.

“I have decided to let this majestic animal pass away peacefully.”
— Till Backhaus

A decision to do nothing… while a living being suffered.

But the people of Germany refused to accept that.

They stepped in.
Not because it was easy.
Not because success was guaranteed.
But because trying mattered.

This rescue should have happened sooner.
It may already be too late.

But Timmy is no longer alone.

In these final moments, whether they end in survival or not, there is something more powerful:

Proof that when institutions hesitate,
humanity doesn’t have to.

We stand with those who chose action. When faced with life or death, no matter how small the chance we must try! We hope, against the odds, to see Timmy swim free again. 💙

We are not involved in the rescue effort. We give all credit to the individuals and organizations making this happen. We are only amplifying their message.

🚨Operation Krill Wars - The Fight Has Just Started! ✊

For too long, the Southern Ocean has been treated as an endless resource its life stripped away in silence, its balance pushed to the brink. Vast industrial trawlers carve through Antarctic waters, harvesting krill in staggering quantities, the very foundation of one of Earth’s most fragile and vital ecosystems.

They are the lifeblood of whales, seals, penguins, and countless marine species. Remove them, and the entire food chain begins to collapse.

The Captain Paul Watson Foundation is committed to ending krill trawling in Antarctica! Just as Captain Paul Watson stopped the mindless killing of whales in these same waters, he will now stop the senseless pillaging of krill.

Our history proves something simple: we don’t just speak, we act. Direct action has always been our line in the water, and it has delivered real results. When others debated, we intervened.

The plundering of the Southern Ocean has gone on long enough.

Operation Krill Wars has just begun.
