We had the most magical time at last weekend's Craniofacial Family Retreat Weekend, and we couldn't have done it without our friends and partners at Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation and MyFace.

We are so grateful for the Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation and MyFace for helping to making Camp accessible to children with craniofacial differences and their families during our Fall Family Retreat Weekend. Because of their generosity, our campers and their families had a weekend filled with unforgettable joy, belonging, and laughter.

Thank you Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation and MyFace for your continued partnership, and for helping make Camp Boggy Creek a place where every child with serious illness can find belonging.

Join myFace, Deaf Kids CODE, and Gilda’s Club Chicago for Different By Design: Building Confidence Through STEAM! Children ages 7–14 will team up to create inventions, design logos, and pitch their ideas in a Shark Tank-style showcase, while caregivers enjoy a special program of their own.

💙 Rena Rosen, myFace Chicago Senior Program Officer, brings over 35 years of lived experience with a craniofacial difference and a passion for inclusion.

💡 Shireen Hafeez, Founder of Deaf Kids CODE, empowers Deaf children through STEAM education and creative problem-solving.

💚 Kirby Weiland, Licensed Social Worker at Gilda’s Club Chicago, brings her expertise in mental health and family support to create welcoming, inclusive spaces.

We’re proud to share some exciting news and celebrate three incredible members of our team!

Rena Rosen, Dina Zuckerberg, and Naomi Levinshtein have been nominated for the Children’s Craniofacial Association David Roche Award for Excellence in Advocacy!

Advocacy is at the heart of what we do. It’s about ensuring individuals with craniofacial differences and their families feel seen, heard, supported, and celebrated. Through sharing stories, amplifying voices, and creating spaces for belonging, we’re working toward a world that better understands and embraces facial differences.

Rena, Dina, and Naomi each bring their own experiences, passion, and dedication to this mission, helping build meaningful connections and strengthen the craniofacial community. We’re incredibly proud to see their contributions recognized alongside so many others doing meaningful advocacy work.
