“Those at are telling you the truth when they say they cradle new work, much like an egg on a spoon, but along with cradling, everyone should know they also served my play like a delicious breakfast. Working with this brilliant collective, I got to scramble my characters, fatten up my script, pour new ideas into the structure and at the presentation of my reading, feed the audience. Without a doubt, my vision took shape, validating the time it took to explore my story - because there is no greater thing to give a playwright than proof that their play works. I’m grateful for their impressive dedication to committing to artists in the boroughs, especially The Bronx, because it’s collectives like this where no art remains hidden but instead, encouraged to be seen.” — , playwright of MAMA BEAR AND HER CUBS

We only have one day left and $2k to go! Will you help get us closer to our goal? Donate at www.eggandspoontheatre.org or Venmo .

“After our initial run of THE VOICES IN YOUR HEAD, I was so proud but also felt that, after a shorter run, the show had more life to give. The problem was I wasn’t sure who would take it on: it’s a fairly large cast, it’s in a storefront church, and there are no dressing rooms. Egg & Spoon saw that all of these qualities were what made the piece special and, to my humbling surprise, they said, ‘Let’s do it again.’ I’m so grateful for a company like this that takes risks and prioritizes delighting audiences and finding unique ways to bring them together.” — Billy McEntee, co-creator of THE VOICES IN YOUR HEAD

Help us continue this great work by donating before December 31! Any amount counts. We have $2k to go!!

“Egg & Spoon supported our play with care for the artists, the piece’s integrity, the audience, and our venue, always making sure to uplift people first and the art a close-second. I felt so safe with the play in their hands, and couldn’t have asked for better collaborators in getting this play to a wider audience and to the E&S community.” -- , director of THE VOICES IN YOUR HEAD

It’s only with your support that we can continue making this work that makes this kind of impact. We’re only $2k away from our year-end goal! Donate today at www.eggandspoontheatre.org or Venmo before December 31!
