🎉 Happy Birthday, Christopher Rudd! 🎉

Today we celebrate the heart and vision behind RudduR Dance our founder and Executive Artistic Director, Christopher Rudd.
Born in Jamaica and raised in Miami, Christopher has spent his life redefining what ballet can be, and who it can serve.

From TOUCHÉ (the first explicitly gay work for ABT), to the healing urgency of LIFTED, to the visceral trilogy WITNESS, his work fuses contemporary dance and circus with social impact, empathy, and purpose.

As a Black, Jamaican-born gay man navigating ballet’s exclusive traditions, Christopher continues to amplify marginalized voices and confront injustice with grace, beauty, and boldness. 💥

✨ Today, on his birthday, help us honor his mission.

Our Match Campaign is live now and every dollar you donate will be doubled by a generous donor through August 8.

Your support helps us keep creating powerful, necessary art and bringing it to communities around the world.

🎁 Make a gift today — and make it count twice.

📣 This Is the Moment.

💥 Every Dollar Matched Until August 8 💥

Our fundraiser campaign is still going strong, and we just received an incredible $10,000 matching gift from an anonymous donor who believes in our work as deeply as we do.

There are moments in an artist’s life that feel like turning points, this is one of ours.

We’re stepping into the most ambitious chapter RudduR Dance has ever taken on:

🌍 Finalizing WITNESS for its world premiere in 2026
⚡ Beginning WHITEWASHED, an immersive, multidisciplinary work confronting identity, erasure, and the myth of neutrality in art and culture

These aren’t just performances—they’re acts of healing, reckoning, and beauty.

Now through August 8, every donation will be matched up to $10,000.

That means your gift goes twice as far:
🎁 $100 = $200
🎁 $500 = $1,000

Let’s do something beautiful, together.

Dear Friends,

Today, on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, we honor the legacy of a visionary leader who dedicated his life to the pursuit of justice and equality. Dr. King's unwavering belief in the power of love, nonviolence, and social change continues to inspire us all.

I know that many of us are feeling disheartened and uncertain about the future in the wake of recent events. But as Dr. King once said, "We must accept finite disappointment, but never lose infinite hope." Now is the time to lock arms and shield ourselves from whatever may come, holding tight to our ideals and our loved ones.

At RudduR Dance, we believe that art has the power to heal, inspire, and connect us, even in the face of adversity. Dance, in particular, can transcend barriers and speak to our shared humanity. It can be a source of joy, resilience, and hope.

Today, we invite you to join us in celebrating Dr. King's legacy by reflecting on his message of hope and taking action to create a more just and equitable world. Here are a few ways you can get involved:

- Attend a performance or workshop: Experience the transformative power of dance firsthand.
- Support organizations that are working for social change: Donate your time or resources to organizations that are fighting for justice and equality.
- Engage in meaningful conversations with your community: Talk to your friends, family, and neighbors about the issues that matter to you and work together to create positive change.
- On this MLK Day, let us remember Dr. King's dream and recommit ourselves to building a world where everyone is treated with dignity and respect.

With hope and gratitude,
Christopher Rudd
