RAMADAN KAREEM!!!
All praise is due to Allah (SWT) who has granted us the opportunity to enjoy and reap rewards of the blessed month of Ramadan.

Allah SWT says, be steadfast in prayer, Pay ZAKAT and ZAKAT AL-FITR, those in whose wealth is a recognized right; for the needy who asks and those who are less fortunate and deprived. Bow down or submit yourselves with obedience to Allah SWT with those who do the same.

Dua for Fasting
Wa bisawmi ghadinn nawaiytu min shahri ramadan. (I intend to keep the fast for tomorrow in the month of Ramadan.)

Dua for Breaking the Fast (Iftar)
Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika aamantu wa alayka tawakkaltu wa ala rizq-ika-aftartu. (O Allah! I fasted for You and I believe in You and I put my trust in You and I break my fast with Your sustenance)

Developing Community Resilience: Shelter and Settlement Assistance Training for Diasporas

Access safe shelters, and make their community more resilient. In this 25-minute course, you will learn about how you can more effectively contribute to humanitarian assistance before, during and after crises, help communities access safe shelters, and make your community more resilient.

Objectives
• Identify different components of disaster preparedness, response, recovery and risk reduction, and relate their use to diasporas’ activities.
• Understand what shelter and settlement are, and their relevance for diaspora actors.
• Explore how diasporas can promote access to safer shelter for more resilient communities.
• This course is designed for both new and experienced diaspora actors who are interested in shelter assistance or implement shelter programming.
