“Death is nature’s way of saying, Your table is ready.”......This quote by Robin Williams is so fitting for my Mom and Dad who ate out every night! My Mom died this morning and I’m sure my Dad had their favorite table waiting!!

This is the only photo I have of my mom and I together! She was 73 at the time (the same age I am now) and I was 47!

I want to say how much I appreciate the people who reached out to find out if I was ok when they realized I was MIA these last few days!! I found out last Wednesday that my mom was put in the care of Hospice and I was a mess just waiting for the inevitable phone call! I am so grateful my mom went peacefully and enjoying a long awaited family reunion!!

No Need To Spend Big Bucks!!!.....This 100% linen dress cost me $56.00 and it wasn’t on sale!! I never pay a lot for my clothing, not because I’m frugal, I just enjoy taking ordinary pieces and styling them with unique accessories such as this handmade necklace ◀️ and my free people booties!! Styles come and go, but fabulous accessories last forever! What do you spend the big bucks on??

An Ageless Beauty.....This vibrant and beautiful woman is 96 years young!! As you see, she got the memo that black & white are my signature colors. She even went so far as to wear a fabulous pair of Kitson sneakers!! How cute is that?

When she sat in the chair and I looked at her skin, I told her she didn’t need much of anything to enhance her beauty!! A light weight cc cream, eyebrows, a bit of blush, lipstick and voila’!!!

When You Just Need A Day To Chill.......On the one beautiful day we had in NYC last week, I decided to take a little time for me and treated myself to an iced coffee with a scoop of vanilla ice cream! Shameful?, maybe be, but it was delicious and worth the judgement!! Bring it on!!

Never Underestimate The Power Of The Brow!......The brows are the most important feature on the face and my greatest challenge! These ladies either have no brows, sparse brows or overgrown and wiry brows! I spend the most amount of time trying to create a brow to frame their face! As you can see, I like a natural look as opposed to a full on made up look so, for me, it’s the brow and lips that create a fresh and dramatic change!

I want to thank a very special woman at Saks♥️for the most generous donation of makeup!

A Thing Of Beauty Is A Joy Forever.......How fitting that yesterday was National Day Of Joy, the day I visited a beautiful Assisted Living Facility to give makeovers to the women. Once my volunteer set up the day and time, the facility set up a Spa Day with massages, manicures, my makeovers and a beautiful spread with yummy treats! What fun!!

My daughter Danielle was my volunteer and photographer! I honestly couldn’t have chosen a better person to share this special day!!

I’m always surprised by my attraction to certain things! Did I think I looked like this imagine above me? Oh, I sure hope not!

Earlier today one of the profiles I follow posted a pic and comment asking if women over 50 could wear denim! I’m wearing a pair of black denim jeans to prove that denim has no expiration date! I’m over 70 and think I am dressed appropriately!

Saved by my friend!!.....Mike my doorman had the nerve to go on vacation for three weeks!! Was it something I said??😪

I was meeting my friend Shelley yesterday at Bergdorf Goodman. She asked that I meet her downstairs by the restaurant! I had just purchased the Celine sunglasses I’ve wanted for a long time and for what I paid, I wasn’t taking them off!! As I was waiting for her, and unbeknowns to me, Shelley snapped the pic! She then called out my name and when I looked up there she was snapping again!!

I now have a dilemma! Who takes better pics, Shelley my friend or Mike my doorman?? I guess they will have to either flip a coin, duke it out or you can vote!!

When Things Go Array...I had no intention of posting this fabulous resale shop top today, but when Mike my doorman spotted me outside, he rushed out and said “it’s Wednesday, don’t you need a pic?” How could I resist? Who needs a selfie stick when you have a doorman?
He snapped a few shots and asked if they were ok! I know I should have shut my big mouth and just say “thank you they’re great,” but no, that’s not my mo!! What I did say is.....”The pics are ok, but my b***s look like two deers caught in the headlights!”😂
I tried to smooth out the top, but I was still laughing when he took this pic! And, I liked it, its natural, not posed and the b***s behaved!! Btw, I’m an A cup!😅
If you thought this was funny, look at the bush beside me and tell me if you too notice that my hair looks just like it! 🤣

What Was I Thinking.....I was so excited to finally show off this neckpiece gifted to me from a good friend a few years ago! It was her Mom’s, and when she passed away, my friend gave it to me knowing I, like her Mom, love interesting and bold vintage jewelry! I was so touched and cried, but I was also torn because I loved the necklace, but the royal blue and orange were colors that have never been or would be in my wheelhouse!!😛
It slept in my drawer for years until I purchased a royal blue turtleneck! It looked great with the neckpiece, but I knew I couldn’t possibly wear my 💋lipstick!! I needed an orange color, but resisted buying it until I found a light orange and voile here I am!
My doorman/surrogate husband took the pic in my lobby!! When I got upstairs and saw the pic, I realized the neckpiece was turned on the wrong side! 😏Hence, the other pic!! Swipe left⬅️

What A Clever Way To Advertise!!....After dinner with a friend, we decided to walk some of the calories off from our delicious dinner. As we were walking down my street, we came across this cute ad all lit up in front of A La Mode, an Ice Cream Cafe! I thought it was so cute and needed a pic!! Sorry it’s dark, but when I tried to brighten it, it diminished the neon!! Although the pic of me is horrible, (sorry Cin!) I wanted to share it with you all. By the way, during the day you see nothing! It’s only lit up at night!!

Me And My Shadow.....

My fabulous men’s shirt is one of my best thrift store finds ever!! I spotted it on the rack with the original tags, never worn, 💯percent cotton and obviously gifted to a straight guy who wouldn’t be caught dead in it!!😅

It’s a great conversation piece! I get stopped on the street, in stores and restaurants by people either telling me they love my shirt or others asking where I bought it! I must be honest, sometimes I’m truthful and sometimes I say Paris! I just love that one, they all say “oh, of course!”🤫

This pic was taken yesterday by a beautiful young woman who loved my shirt! I was honest with her and actually told her the name of the thrift shop and others that I like. It was a win for us both! She got my coveted list of thrift stores and I got a pic to post today! Don’t you love when that happens?
