A movie-musical about internet addicts starring Rachel Zegler, Jonathan Groff and Amanda Seyfried, directed by Lin-Manuel Miranda? Thank you to whoever manifested this.

For the record: When announcing the “Octet” film adaptation, Lin-Manuel Miranda said he “couldn’t stop thinking” about it after seeing the play. “Dave Malloy’s score is versatile, brilliant and grows more relevant with each passing year. It won’t leave me alone so here we are.”

And now here we are: unable to stop thinking about the movie adaptation of the play that Lin-Manuel Miranda couldn’t stop thinking about. A very normal and sustainable chain of events.

Pop culture expert breaks it all down for us.
