The ancestors of the Indians who lived in North America—the ones Columbus met—were themselves immigrants: they came from Asia. They were not indigenous to the soil the way an acorn is: They crossed the Bering Sea to get here.

It is disturbing that those who have benefitted so much by coming to America continuously seek to find fault with the United States while ignoring real and persistent problems in the lands they have escaped. What is more, these same people then go on to find positions of prominence in our political life. That should be beyond the pale.

Muslim leaders in America are very good at defending the rights of their people—as they should—but they are seriously delinquent in their treatment of sharia law.

A review of Artificial Intelligence on this issue found that “There is no notable record of prominent American Muslim politicians—such as members of Congress (like Ilhan Omar or Rashida Tlaib) or state and local Muslim elected officials—publicly campaigning against or specifically issuing statements to ‘criticize’ Sharia law.”
