Last weekend, Fiver families traded the city for the woods for two days of connection, community, and Camp Fiver traditions!

We kicked off Family Retreat with icebreakers and the Fiver Relay before settling into a weekend filled with the things that make Camp feel like Camp: singing favorite songs, laughing together over Family Bingo, getting creative with jewelry-making and crafts, gathering around crackling campfires, and simply enjoying time together.

Families also took part in workshops designed to support and strengthen their relationships. Parents explored navigating tough conversations and supporting their children through transitions, while the weekend gave everyone space to connect, reflect, and learn alongside one another.

We closed at Tucker Point, where families gathered around the campfire to share what Fiver means to them and celebrate the awarding of dog tags—a meaningful Fiver tradition.

Weekends like this remind us that Fiver is about more than the experiences we create. It’s about the relationships we nurture and the community we continue to build, together, year after year.⛺️💚🐇

This summer was filled with adventure, growth, and possibility at Camp Fiver—from horseback riding and swimming to climbing, canoeing, college tours, and leadership-building programs. Your support helped 422 young people make memories and build skills that will stay with them long after summer ends. Our Fivers built confidence, discovered new passions, strengthened lifelong skills, and prepared for their futures, while 183 teens explored college campuses.

We’re grateful to our alumni who returned to the Fiver office to reflect on their journeys since graduating and give current participants a glimpse into the many directions their careers can take.

Our alumni represented an incredible range of fields, from account management, banking, mental health counseling, construction, and private equity law to entrepreneurship, healthcare, and the performing arts. Hearing directly from professionals who once sat in the same seats offered a powerful reminder that there is no single path to success.

We’re proud to see our alumni continuing to grow, pursue their passions, and build meaningful careers, and even prouder when they return to share what they’ve learned with the next generation. These conversations give young people the opportunity to explore careers they may not have considered, learn from different experiences, and begin imagining possibilities for their own futures. Just as importantly, they reinforce the value of staying connected to our community long after completing the program.

Thank you to our alumni for sharing your stories and continuing to invest in the community that helped shape your journeys. Your experiences are an important part of the foundation we're building together.

We’re grateful to for helping prepare our Fivers with the foundational principles of financial literacy! Through engaging conversations and real-world insights, Fivers had the opportunity to build a stronger understanding of key financial concepts and how to apply them in everyday life. From understanding the value of money and making thoughtful financial decisions to developing healthy habits managing credit and thinking about their financial futures, these lessons provide an important foundation for long-term confidence and independence.

Thank you to our friend Daniel Delehanty on behalf of Metropolitan Bank for sharing your time, expertise, and resources with our Fivers and for investing in their financial futures! Experiences like this help young people build knowledge they can carry with them as they navigate school, careers, and the many financial decisions they’ll make along the way.
