The sirens were blaring.

A 13-year-old boy was crying uncontrollably…
and his mother didn’t know how to calm him.

So she called his principal.

What happened next is a powerful reminder of what your boys are facing every single day—and the support that’s helping them through it.

Moshe is bright, talented, and full of potential. But like so many students, the trauma of war has shaken his sense of safety in ways that are hard to describe.

His story is just one of many.

Read more about Moshe—and how your support is helping boys like him keep going:

Moshe suffers from anxiety. Before the most recent war, he was making pogress, but after air raids and sirens, Moshe has a long way to go.

Your 10th graders went on an incredible class trip last week, heading south for an experience that blended learning, adventure, and reflection.

They visited a museum, went hiking, rappelled down a cliff, and swam in a river. The trip also included a meaningful visit to the Nova Festival memorial.

It was a powerful mix of education, excitement, and adventure, giving your boys the chance to learn beyond the classroom and grow together through shared experiences.

Shabbat Shalom from Your Boys! Wishing you a wonderful weekend.

They walked through Mt. Herzl National Military Cemetery in silence, mourning not only national heroes, but their own classmates and friends.

One of them was Sgt. Benyamin Yona.

A student remembered for his kindness, humility, and quiet strength—who volunteered to serve and ultimately fell in battle defending others.

Last week, your 10th graders headed south for an overnight trip, stepping outside the classroom and into something just as important.

These experiences give your boys the space to connect, to laugh, and to build friendships that carry them through the year.

It’s in these moments that Boys Town Jerusalem becomes more than a place to learn. It becomes a home.

And that sense of belonging is something every boy deserves.

This is more than just a logo.

The BTJ FTC logo was created by Yehuda Naimark, the team’s first captain back in 2017. And every detail tells a story.

It includes the team’s name and number, representing identity and pride.

An upward arrow reflects your boys’ constant drive to grow, improve, and aim higher.

And the two wings tell the deeper story. One is robotic. One is natural. Together, they represent the balance your boys are learning every day. Technology and humanity. Skill and teamwork. Personal growth and a shared mission.

Because robotics at Boys Town Jerusalem is not just about building machines.

It is about engineering their future.

We are incredibly proud of BTJ graduate Amitay Cohen.

After being injured while fighting in Gaza, Amitay had the privilege of taking part in Israel’s national ceremony for the 78th Independence Day, representing those wounded in battle.

Standing there, he simply said, “I am honored to stand here.”

In those few words is strength. Resilience. Humility.

Amitay represents the very best of what your boys grow to become. Courage in the face of challenge. A deep sense of responsibility. And pride in standing for something greater than themselves.

With your support, your boys are growing into young men who carry these values forward.

We wish Amitay continued strength and healing.

On Yom HaZikaron, some of your boys and BTJ staff went to Har Herzl, located just 15 minutes from our campus.

There, they visited the graves of BTJ graduates who were not only alumni, but their classmates and friends.

They stood together and said Tehillim, taking time to remember, to honor, and to feel the weight of the day.

For your boys, this is not distant history. It is deeply personal.

May the memory of all those we have lost be a blessing. 🕯️
